Is there really scarcity of jobs? If you do found an employment, should we be feeling so lucky without one. There are a lot of unanswered questions prevail for so many reasons. Transcribing this made me feel frustrating. Recently, my colleagues were in a state of sentiments. Crying out loud that they were ask to work by their big boss, too insensitive for them to travel under a strong typhoon that struck our hometown. As a professional, commitment to work is not a question. Moreover, they anticipated that there will be an additional commensurate pay. The downside, the employer claimed "no work no pay" principle. It was really a deception scenario. What a motivational working condition.

It is very sad that this have to happen. They should report it to the Labor Department. There must even be a hazard pay for that.

I agree. I think some of her colleagues reported the company. I think they also file a formal complaint in DOLE.

@florelway I think it should be. For this matter, I do like the advocacy of our president at present.

@Shavkat That is an awesome question! I think I would have to say no. I'd rather not risk my life for some money. You can get money anywhere. But once you lose your life, that's it.

That's what I pointed to her about this. Now, she is not working int hat job anymore. I personally think it is not worth to waste our life with this kind of job.

Hi Shavkat, the no work no pay principle is right. Even if the country is suffering from a major natural disaster, there is no way to ask employers in the country to pay for the absence of so many employees. If the employees are not able to come to work, the boss obviously does not have to pay them. But in view of the situation, the employers should not sack employees for not coming to work either.

There are a lot of changes that are happening in all industries right now and that does mean that the "rules" to working are going to be changing a lot. Here, it seems like it is far more common that companies are hiring through temporary services instead of direct hiring and that does mean that workers have to work for a very long period of time without any kind of benefits. This means that they are definitely working under the no work-no pay category. When the world goes through a change in the economy such as what we've been through in the last several years, there are going to be a lot of things that change significantly.

I am afraid that it still exists in my country. Some people indulge in a 'No work, no pay' scheme because they don't have a choice. It is more evident to small-scale businesses. I hope the new administration in the government will have strict rules with this concern.

Every one is working hard to earn money. We all need a job for our income. Some of us don't have a proper job and struggling a lot to find a good job. After finishing our education, we are ready for work. Most of us don't get a highest paying job at the beginning, since most of the jobs require training. We don't get a good salary at training period, but we must get a good work skill and experience at the training period, we must utilize it and learn a lot in the training days. After getting proper training, we gain some experience and ready for the job, we will get a good scale based on our talents and ability. Some persons don't have patience to wait for a long and ready to pay some investment to get the job, but this kind of activity is not good. Our job is based on our talent, we will get job from our skills and talent, not by paying money. Mostly this kind of investment jobs are scams and we may lost our money if we invest it. some jobs are pay per work, i.e we don't get any money if we don't have work with our job and this kind of jobs will give frequent breaks and lay off, we will face a lot of issues with it, they don't give any compensation for the break, this kind of jobs will give depression and frustration to us. Whatever it is, doing a job is always good compared with staying idle.

i work hard and i am willing to work on risk in order to earn more i think if you risk nothing, you risk anything. i mean sometimes we really need a risk, if we success, we will have a new life, if we fail, at least we tried and no regret. we should try our best to make our lives better, aren't we? this's what i think.

I do believe that traditional jobs are disappearing but new opportunities to earn are being developed to take their place. It is also my personal belief that some employers are taking advantage of this situation while demanding more and paying less of their employees. This behavior cannot last and be sustained for a long period of time before there is a major paradigm shift among the masses. I predict there will be a universal revolt against employers, big or small, who adopt this unscrupulous business practice. It will come down to the haves and the have nots, and I think the have nots may come out on top.

Hi Shav, when i was young i am willing to work overtime for my company and earned very good pay. Most of my jobs are in need to work overtime, to be able to complete their daily quota. After i am married, i am unable to work overtime anymore. Because i have family matters need to be fulfilled daily. Now, i am unable to work full-time due to my health problem.

Nope, I wouldn't risk my life for a risky job jut to bring extra income for my family. If my place is stuck with calamity and is ruined by it, I wouldn't even think twice of not coming to work. There are lots of work to do in the house than spending it at office. The good thing is that my company had this emergency leave which I can use in times of distress.

Right now I am also thinking of going abroad after a lucrative pay offered. However, I am thinking about many factors like, hows the lifestyle, the work environment, the people around, the new home and others. I am happily employed as one of the boss today in a big company, but I believe everyone when confronted with bigger and wider opportunity, it will somewhat make them to think..

I can work hard but i don't want to take risk for better pay...if i am interested with that work, i may work without asking money, it looks like a hobby when we are interested in working. Money is not the all, i work to earn money because i like to do that work...

Presently I am the only breadwinner of my family. My son has just completed his studies and is now in search of a job which,I think,he will get soon.I would not like to have a job with a better pay but more risks. Not that I am afraid of taking risks, but I would not like to die or be entangled in tough situations just to get a few hundred or thousands more.I would rather like to be with my family that,at present, can't live without me.
