i only wear a little bit of make-up. usually just some eyeliner and lipgloss and that's about it. Once in awhile when I am dressed up I'll wear eyeshadow and the whole bit but not often

Too much makeup can make you look like a clown or like you're trying to be someone you're not. Use as little makeup as you can, only in problem areas -- which may not be problem areas at all. It would be worse for a guy to find out you look completely different without makeup: it's a bit like lying.

I'd be interested in hearing your definition of "need". I have a feeling it doesn't match what we teach in schoo; needs versus wants.

I can't remember which magazine it was but a popular women's magazine recently did a study of men and what kind of make-up they liked most. Turned out they actually liked the face with the most make-up. It was the same girl so it wasn't different girls. However, they also said that she looked most "natural". So I think guys just don't really understand how much make-up is a lot, and how much is a little and what "natural" really looks like because make-up has become such a common thing in everyday life.

I'm skeptical of stuff like that anyway. But I wouldn't doubt it at all, if the magazine tipped the scales in their favor. Afterall, how do you sell a "women's" magazine with out endorsing products.

I've seen some people wear so much makeup that is just caked on and it's looks ridiculous. My best friend used to wear layers and layers of foundation, it was crazy. The only makeup I wear is eyeliner and sometimes foundation to cover up my dark under eye circles, and occasionally if I have trouble areas like if I have a zit starting to come in. But for the most part, I go natural.
I have to wear eyeliner, otherwise I look like I'm 12, when I'm actually 22. Plus I like eyeliner cause it brings out my eyes since they're darker (brown).

If the makeup is used to cover a blemish or accent something like her eyes and lips, it's not a big deal for guys. But, it is a big turnoff when a woman uses too much of it. A general rule is the makeup shouldn't be the first thing I notice.

My husband hates lots of make-up especially when you see those girls who wear lots of foundation so they end up having an orange face and a white neck.

Some make up is good, but I do not like girls to have so much on that it distracts from their natural beauty.

I really dont flaunt for artifical beauty.makeup is a thing which gives you an artificial look which i dont like.Simplicity is the best policy.....Its the inner beauty that matters the most n not artificalty of humans....
So...NO MAKEUP!!!!

well....as a girl i can say that make up can really change your looks, and make you feel prettier and more confident of yourself...when i am not wearing make up at all,i feel like i am having a bad day..i feel common...wearing make -up such as clothes and accesories are just small tricks for a good impression, and that also makes you feel good in your skin..also that many girls don't look good withouth it ..and i don't say we should wear it everyday but theer are situations when you wanna give a certain impression and make up helps you..
