Do any of you keep a count on all your posts that are published here each day including picture uploads .Why I ask is because some members are able to give numbers and figures accurately and know how much they should have earned ! I hardly keep a count on my posts and get constantly surprised - at times I feel that I had posted more and at times....How about you all friends ? do you keep a count on your posts each day ?

Earlier, I have tested and tried a lot of things here just for a fun and found all such things are useless. Here what I do now is just comment on the topics that I feel like talk and ask friend requests with those I like by discussions and feel people are genuine and cooperative.

In fact after my PG, I started my carrer as a teacher as it was my life-time ambition. But when it found difficult to coop with the management I stoped it and look something else. The three years of my teaching service was good enough for a golden memmory and a handfull of few nice student was my total asset when I left the job.
Even now, those children happend to meet anywere on the way of life, they will really identify and one student recently send an email from UK, which made me so proud and I feel so happy to tell that they are my real asset for ever.
Then I moved to a womens univesity and worked for the computer science dept. as technical assistant for 6 years.
As a part of my career stability, I moved to a CA firm and now I am here for the past 10-15 years and here I got everything what I am really looking for and never felt to have a change in the service line.
Have a nice day.

Hi ravi, yes that happens with me as well especially when I am nearing a payout, last month I missed it by a few cents since I was busy with some other work and could not log in...But at the same time, I also feel happy that the next month I will get a higher amount

Yes. If we miss earning payout amount in one month it is going to be carried foward and in the next months we will get a higher amount.
Incidentally in your avatar -- near which temple or monument has this photo was taken? good day.

Counting posts is a waste of time.
What is a 'post' here anyway? A topic, a response, a comment? Not all of them cause our user activity rating to increase so why bother counting them.
As myLot does not have a fixed rate per post, it is absolutely impossible to know how much we have earnt until the earnings updates takes place. It is then based on our overall activity during the previous 24 hours myLot time.
As you might have guessed, I don't count anything at all when I am here.

That is the best way to do it ! Never bother about posts , but keep posting and earning !The time difference also can be quite confusing at times ....Thanks a lot diana for sharing your views ....I agree sunil, that is the best thing to do !

yes. that is one way of satisfying oneself -- you fix so many cents as target and move towards that daily. however choice of topics is important for us to get satisfaction.

No I do not keep a count. I just try to log in daily and post as much as time allows me to. I try to be active, but I cannot post a fixed number of posts per day as i may be busy on one day or quite free on another day. I use mylot during work usually. So if I am somewhat free from my normal duties I rest a bit over here by sharing my thoughts or replying to discussions that interest me.

The majority of the time I keep up with how much I get done at mylot. It helps me stay organized and see how much I have accomplished or if I need to do and work more. I also keep up with my earnings from other sites as well.

Yes I understand how it can be ! Earlier I used to think that spending 2 or 3 hours online was more than enough, but as you start working on more sites , you realise that 2 hours is nothing, you need more than that time to write an article...all the best to you

Hi Dominique, thanks a lot for your response Thats good, when we work on many sites , we need to organise ourselves so that we devote equal time to all of them, I too do the same, but with all that sometimes I do miss out on some sites because of lack of time - all the best, enjoy your evening

Yeah I understand. There often just isn't enough hours in the day to get all that we would like to get done. I know lately I have had to spend a lot more time trying to earn online since we just moved and now we have to play catch up. I will be relieved when things calm down.

No UK, I have never counted my number of posts till date although, I have a rough idea- I must have posted at least 10 times the number of my posts indicate on my profile picture. Although this is not a clear indication considering there is no record of multiple times I have posted on some of the discussions.

Hi sunil, when we post on our own discussions like I am doing now we dont get any numbers, it is only when we take part in others discussions that the number increases.I too must have posted at least 6000 posts ...However,it doesnt really matter since we earn anyawy !That must have happened with you as well...

Would you believe me that some of my discussions got 60 responses and every response had multiple postings, some of them say more than 30 had 20 posting each and I responded to all of them without fail. I remember I had posted more tan 1000 times on some of my discussions although my responses were one liners.

I keep track of how many posts I make each day but it is not to try to figure out how much I am making. I just set a goal that I must respond or post at least x amount each time I log into myLot. I try to post at least ten at a time. If I go over that is great but I try not to do less than ten. Again, it is not about the money it is about my daily goal.

Hi Shellyann, Yes most of us do that at least to have vague idea as to how many posts we are able to make each day ...Ten posts a day should not be difficult at all , I too post about that many or a few more when I have the time and also when I need to comment back on the responses - all the best and thanks a lot, enjoy your weekend

Hello Kiran,
I used to do it when I was new here but not now a days I don't count them as I have understood it that there is no use of it as there is no set rate for the responses we write here moreover you never know which response/comment of your's is going to get deleted next day.

The same here sanjeev ,initially I too did that.Incidentally, this was one of the first sites that I started my online work on and I was quite new to discussion sites .I had no idea how to participate , but some members would send me messages and help me out, especially my referee who has left the site now...have a great weekend

Hi Kiran,
I don't count my post in here. I don't really feel its significance. And I don't really stay here for a specified time...just when I have free time and we have an Internet connection just like here in my workplace.
Though at first when I was a newbie here many years ago....I tend to count but not now anymore.
And I hate it because I don't have a lot of time to post.
Happy mylotting!!!

Hi smurf, thanks a lot for your response Yes that's understandable , most members come and post as and when they find time except a few steady members who are there posting regularly and keep this site thriving ...I too dont post that frequently these days since I am busy with my own personal work - enjoy your day

When I was new here yes I am counting my post and including picture uploads everyday because i want to know how many discussions and response that I do for a day. But now, I just respond and start a discussion without counting in because its very tiring and unnecessary for me. The most important for me now that I can able to post a discussion everyday.

Hi Bhebelen, thanks a lot for your response I agree with you that counting and keeping an account is just not possible here since we don't know how the earnings are calculated, that's why I too get surprised when some members claim that they are able to keep tabs on their posts and earnings ..all the best and enjoy your day

Well I have never counted my posts here till now but I have keep a target. Now I have a target to reach 1100.. so I am just writing and writing. I don't care about money because if I write, it will surely come. I want the number by my side to increase like crazy and at the same time I am trying to do some quality discussion. That's all. thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day.

I'm new and I haven't started counting, although it would seem I wouldn't need to since this is my 2nd post. But, I don't plan on counting them either. Too much going on in my house most of the time to worry about counting. I'm not even really sure how this works out, so it is what it is :)

Hi Nesoi, welcome to mylot Dont worry, soon it will be difficult for you to count as your points keep going up.You just take part in any discussion you like and add your own views ! You will keep earning a few cents each day depending on how many posts you have made and how good they are .The earnings are shown in your profile page and once you reach 10 dollars you get paid on the 15th of next month into your paypal account...all the best and have a great weekend

It was my habit before when I was still newbies to myLot but for about 5 years I stop counting my post. I continue posting until I am tired and ready for sleep. Don't thing any points to check my total number of post.
As you know our earnings is not based on the total number of post we had made for a day but the participation we did for the whole day alone.

Hi julyteen, I guess when we were new many of us did that but after a while you get over that phase since it becomes difficult to keep count and also your priorities change..Yes that I know since sometimes I see a cent or two getting added when I log in more than once..all the best and thanks a lot for sharing your views

i make the discussion here like the water flow in the river..
when i get some ideas or maybe hot topic, i will make the discussion
so it depends on how i get the ideas in one day
if i didn`t get ideas, i didn`t make the discussion
i only respond my friend discussion
i don`t want to push my self to always make discussion if i have no idea for it..

Hi adhyz, It is the same with me, I never start a discussion unless I find a topic that feel is good for discussion or can get some responses, otherwise I prefer to take part in other members discussions - thanks a lot for your response, happy mylotting

Exactly ! that is true, but for some it is necessary to make daily target and work towards it since whatever they earn here means a lot to them. I know of a couple of member friends who have to do that to survive and they keep a count carefully to see how much they earn each day here and elsewhere on other sites ..

I not count daily my response and discussions but one day when I want to complete my target I respond 250 responses on one day. But this is happen first time since join mylot 2 years back. Now I am very busy so no time to count or not pay attention on pick a discussion and respond only 5 to 10 daily.

Hi surekha, did you manage to reach your target of 250 responses? If so that is really an achievement because I dont think I have managed even 50 responses in a day so far...I agree that is better to respond at your own pace, that way your responses are better thought out and you feel happy when you go through them - all the best and happy mylotting
