Clothes:Reveal your Personality

Our tastes vary and we do have a right to our opinion. Perhaps our parent, teacher, or an employer criticized some outfit that we loved. But anything goes when it comes to how we dress? I wanna share this interesting idea when I read from one of my favorite books:
"What you wear is really who you are and how you feel about yourself. Clothing sends out a message, a statement to others about you. Clothing can whisper conscientiousness and high moral standards. It can even serve as a form of identification. Some use expensive designer clothes as a type of trademark. Others use clothing to attract other gender or to make themselves appear older than they are."
After reading I realize something. No wonder our parents are concerned about how we dress.
So, what guides your selection of clothes?

In a way, they do. If you wear baggy clothes, sweats, or clothes that look too comfortable, then you might be classified as being lazy. If you wear clothes that are too expensive, or look too expensive, then people might think that you have money. The same rules apply for wearing too much jewelry, wearing designer, or wearing anything that just looks very pricey. If you wear clothes that look very professional, then people might think that you have a business job or a high powered career.
People can and will judge you on anything that you wear, and even if you aren't what you wear, or you don't think that you are what you wear, you will still be judged on what you are wearing.
I have clothes for all occasions because I never know what I might have to wear.

I love all kinds of clothes , but the the clothes don't love my body, not even appropriate to my age lol... But actually if only I have a perfect body to wear such clothes I might be adventurous, I love colorfull something you can turn head when you walk. If ever I have sexy body great legs, I will buy the displayed clothes in the mall. :) wear what are appropriate in the occasions.... It's fun to moix match really ...if only I have much finances I will design and have models to wear weird clothes lol... But in me, reality speaking I wear formal clothes at work and simple clothes because that's whatI can afford . If only I could buy all clothes I want I will become beau tiful and se xy lol.

I do agree that the things that you wear tend to reflect the person that you are. I have lost a lot of weight recently, and I have experienced a complete change in both my personality and the things that I had in my wardrobe. When I was at my biggest, most of the things that I wore were black because that was how I felt about myself. Now that I have lost eight stone, I am wearing things that are a lot more colourful, that I wouldn't even have thought about wearing in the past. I love the way that my personality and my wardrobe is going, and I look forward to continuing it in the future.

I agree with you in a way. I actually think that everything you do and however you do anything, says a lot about your personality. The inside of your purse, the inside of your car, the way you do your nails - it all tells a story about what kind of person you are like. I guess my clothes are a pretty accurate portrayal of who I am; I try to dress how I feel that particular day - while staying SOMEWHAT conservative. Happy MyLotting!

You're right each one of us has certain types of clothes. I for one, I prefer tshirts and pants only despite my age and position at work. At work, I prefer wearing my uniforms daily and during wash days, I wear pants and tshirt/blouse, just the simple ones. I don't care what other say about the way I dress but I'm comfortable with what I have.

I used to dress very conservatively. I was always considered how people would think when i dress up. But when I went to college, I saw a lot of students in that University according to what they like, not following any rules of the society. They didn't care much about what others would say or even if they got stared at. Then I learned why they didn't care much. So I started to dress according to what i like and not what society dictates. I learned that I should dress to impress my own self, to feel good about me and not to attract another person's attention.
The most important thing is not what you wear but the confidence you exude. That tells more of the person's personality.

I dress for style and comfort. Without sacrificing either, both has to be present in my get-up. Of course I consider the weather and the occasion. I have my signature "look" though that should not put me and my profession in question, and considering that I am already married, I have to be a bit more cautious, like a skirt that hikes higher than usual, that sort of thing.
I dress minimally and accessorize appropriately. I just decided to keep things simple because I am not really a branded person. If the dress fits and price is right, then I don't care if it's Mossimo or the side walk vendor. =)

Dear User,
Reply ,
As there Is an old saying "Where what people say and Eat what you want " it actually describe everything when you give your first impression everywhere what people check our it ain't your Style of speaking , sense of humor and intelligence what most of the people see is the person is well dressed ..
In most of the companies in interview what they first check is the dressing of the person and after that they see his CV and start asking him questions .. people should be very much concentrated on this because life don't give you second chance you live only once ..
Happy Mylotting ..

I am a conservative person and most of the time I wear formal dress, a clothing that will gain respect - power dressing?. Sometimes it is so bad that people will judge you on what you wear.

I will freely admit, I don't really care too much about what I'm wearing provided that it's comfortable. Maybe that's my personality, haha. Clothing can affect a lot- First impressions, etc- but I feel like comfort is more important. All my friends can look past my clothing, anyway! I have no fashion sense, so if I tried to dress as anything I'd look terrible. Might as well not try. xD
