Are you worried about pesticides when you eat fruit?

I'm very concerned about getting poisoned by what i eat. I can never be sure if any fruit is pesticide-free, even after i wash it. So i try to peel it before i eat it. As a result, i shy away from some of my favorite fruits, like apples. My health is more important than my palate.

Well before eating the fruits I wash them very well. It is a concern, since we don't know what will be the after effect of eating a fruit which has pesticides sprayed on it.

It is really good that you peel your fruits if they are not organically grown. If they do not say they are organic then chances are they are not. Plus, it is not just pesticides but herbicides, feritlizers, fungus, bacteria and a whole bunch of other junk that is in our food. I used to think I too, could wash off the pesticides but then I read how much stuff is actually on and in our food and was shocked.
I know the peel on the fruits contain fiber but you are really smart at removing anything because you are putting tons of poisions in your system if you do not.
I only buy organic and I know it is more expensive and not as available but it is well worth it.

Yes, i am worried about pesticides when I eat fruit and vegestables but most of the time I wash them very well before I eat. Also there are times that I soaked them in water with baking soda for 30 miuntes and wash it throughly to made sure all the dirty and pesticide wash away and safe to eat. Now most of our fruits and vegetables are full of pesticides better to wash them or cook them very well before were going to eat it for our own safety.

I am concerned about my health but not to an extent that I may completely stop eating something if it is harming me minor. I appreciate your effort that you are so much into concern for your health. I do not make myself an addict of something which would harm me at a later stage. But having it once a while I think doesn't harm that badly. Also to support my view I would say that we should not make ourselves so much sensitive that if even by chance we happen to eat something we had been avoiding for so long, we might end up being sick due to some allergy.

Just never forget to wash thoroughly to be sure that if ever it has pesticides you washed it all away.
