Pilates

Anybody knows Pilates? What kind of exercise is it? What are the differences from aerobic, yoga, fitness or other exercise? Can we do Pilates daily at home? Or must with a trainer?

It is recommended that if you're going to try Pilates for the first time, you do it with the trainer so that you get the proper position, posture in doing some moves. I, personally, had only 2 sessions with a trainer, when I first tried this 4 years ago and up until now, i am doing pilates on my own in the comfort of my own home.

Pilates is vrey different from aerobics, but it is somewhat similar to yoga in that it involves strength training and balance. You should start pilates with a teacher, but if youe have a dance background in something like ballet or modern, you could continue at home with videos.
