For those of you who don't know about the background of Jurassic Park, it was actually a novel written by Michael Crichton. It was the #1 bestseller back then in 1990. Later in 1993 Steven Spielberg made it a movie to remember. One of the finest that the world has ever seen. When Jurassic Park, the movie was released I was in kindergarten, for me it was a fairy tale into reality experience back then. But it was only when I reached High School did I come to know that it was actually a novel. I first saw the book shinning in one of my teacher's book shelf. I asked with a shock, "Jurassic Park was a book!?" The teacher with a simple smile answered, "oh yes and it was one of my favourite. When I was in college, I never realized that a story like this can be converted into a movie!". Then I borrowed the book for a read.
So there lies my question. Which group do you belong to? The group who watched the movie first, like me or the group who read the book first, like my teacher?

I love to read first before watching the movie. A movie couldn't tell you the full lenght of the story as in the book. I read Da Vinci Code, Angle & Demon, Harry Potter first before I watched their movies.
Sometimes when you watch a movie , you couldn't really get what the story has been about. But if you read the book first, when you are whatching the movie you will be excited to guess and wonder what's next will happen. And it will be amusing! :)

Yes agree with you. When they make a movie out of a book. A lot of details go edited. Also, if you enjoy reading, you can create a better visualization that what the movie has to offer, because you're imagination runs wild with every detail provided in the book. Good day!
