Celine Dion's songs always make me feel being loved :) I do listen to her songs when I drive my car, just in case I got annoyed by some careless drivers out there. It help me calm from being so mad. But Adele's songs are my fav for musing something.. The lyrics sound so realistic and help me realizing about what really happened to me rite now :D Lady gaga makes me feel wanna do karaoke with my friends, meanwhile Mariah Carey always makes me so emotional. (btw, haven't you watched Mariah Carey's video music titled Can't Take That Away? I always cry whenever I see the MV )

I love me Adele and can't wait to hear so much from her. Yes, I was identifying with her so much these past few wekks and have leaned on a few songs too :) OMG!!! Yes, Mariah Carey's "Can't Take That Away From Me" is such the anthem! It makes me happy and sad soooo emotional :) Being a city girl I take the train but if I drove I would definitely blast it and scream along to any of these ladies!! Thanks for the comment :)

When I am feeling down I like listening to sad songs, I guess secondhand serenade songs are perfect to describe my feelings when I feel so low and when I am in a good mood I will listen to happy songs so I guess music does affect my mood.

Has it ever worked the opposite way? I mean, has music picked you up when you were feeling down? Or made you sad when you were happy? Because it tends to do that to me. I don't tend to listen to sad music when I'm sad as it will make me sadder. I avoid it at all cost in fear of putting myself into a depression :/

That is so true. Letting it out helps when you want to cry. I have young children so I don't want to let them see me cry. But when I am alone if need be, I put on something sad and let my tears flow :)

When I am feeling sad I will just want to cry because after crying a lot I always feel better so I prefer listening to sad songs when I am sad and when I am happy I will listen to happy songs so it can boost my happiness, well people have their own way to enjoy the music and I enjoy it that way :)

some instrumental jazz music can make me comfortable, if I'm bored I listen to rock music, especially in the morning, to boost up my energy,, for me music gives me positive energy :)

I really do enjoy rock music or pop music in the morning as well, for a pick me up. I enjoy jazz or classical as background music to calm my children down. I heard it also helps them intellectually to listen to that type of music. Have you heard of this effect in children being studied? Thank you for your response :)

Paganini was an Italian composer and violinist. He is famous for his 24 caprices. Of them, i like 5th, 16th and 24th Caprices. You can listen to them on youtube. He is said to have sold his soul to the devil for instrumental mastery with violin. I'm a music freak and listen to all kinds of music, especially classic rock and western classical and would like to talk more about music. Sadly, i don't see any many discussions of this type here on mylot.

If you read the comments I left for others, I don't have much time for this type of music with young children. I do put on classical or jazz during nap-time. I have put music choice channels when we have cable, but when we don't I will YouTube Paganini specifically. Thank you for exposing me to some music I would never have found on my own. I put it on and it helps me concentrate but I never looked into any composers specifically except the commercial Mozart or Beethoven everyone hears. Thank you for you comments and I promise to listen to Paganini :)

As far as I'm concerned,it works the other way around. When I want motivation,I enjoy some artists, when I'm a little bit sad others, when I'm happy I want to listen to something else and so on. If I want to feel motivated, the first song I listen is "'Till I collapse" by Eminem.Although I've been listening to it for many many times,it just doesn't get old. Then I can proceed to listening to others. If I'm bored,I can gently listen to some classic music. If I'm buzzing with energy,a little bit of Pendulum is all I need.
