That one person who inspires me to be Great

Hi All,
I came across the question above more than couple of times in my lifetime.
I always answer its my mother, mainly because she was a single parent since I was 8. You know the typical working hard, waking up early in the morning to prep everything for 4 children, disciplining teenagers as we were growing up, sending us to college which we barely afford, teaching 4 adult the values of life so we could impart to our children now. I always am very proud of my mom and have always looked up to her.
But then life change, I got married and met my husband. So I had to add another person in my life that inspires me to be Great here are the reasons why:
1.) In Asian culture, education is a must - MUST for success in your career. My husband didnt make it to University apparently because his grades were not good enough to make it there so he finished his diploma in Golf Management. For us Asians, that's like... really?
2.) He started his own business through his extensive experience in Golf Industry and HARDWORK. You see the all caps? yeah, A loooooot of it.
3.) He established himself to be the first in Singapore to introduce the Mental Game Workshops. Yep you read it right, he is the first in SIngapore to bring the concept in Singapore Golf.
4.) He continuous to improve himself in all ways possible.

Now, tell me who is that one person who inspires you to be great?

Yes,i have to admit your mother and your husband are very excellent and it seems you are proud of them.As to me,my mother is also the most important people who inspires me to be great,my father was in poor health in the past,so my mother work day and night to earn more moeny to support my sister and my studies,she had leg hurt in the age of 42 and hardly can't walk again,but when she fell well,she went to work again,regardless the advice of the doctor.From my mother,I learned patience,struggle and care of others,which will benefit for all my life.

Thank you Liguoping. I honestly think that even before Hero's are defined Hero's our mothers are the first hero of all! Imagine the 9 months? :)

A mother or father should be the typical answer to this question. In my situation, which both parents are not available my Aunt serves as my hero. She treated me more than her own. She is old maid maybe that's the reason. Then, I realized she is really a good person not only to me but also to people in need. Even if there is only a peso left in her pocket she would still offer it if it can still help. She inspires me to do good things and to be positive in life.

For me is my dad. He works for us to go to school, give us everything not only what we need but also what we want. He works hard so that my mother will get what she wanted like clothes, gadgets jewelries etc. He works not for his own but for his families needs and likes. He inspire me because he is full of wisdom. He always give advices on life and on what he believes in through his experience. He is open minded he never has any favorites in our family, he treat us all equal.

My son is inspiring me now to be great. I want to be great for him so I can give him a good life. As much as possible I don't want him to experience a hard life. I want him to eat good food on our table, buy him nice clothes, send him to school and once in a while I want to travel with him even if we'll just travel locally.

the one person who inspires me to be great now is my 4month old baby girl, when i see her face smiling at me i have a reasons to work hard for her and have a reasons to smile everyday of my life. she inspires me a lot to go to work everyday and find ways to solve problems..

My father is my greatest mentor.He is not a degree holder not even finish high school but I admire him a lot because he was able to send us to school. He was able to raise us up..He was able to give us all what we needed and most of all he gave and is still giving us the best love we can get.he is a simple man with dignity. He never give up his dignity in exchange of money. That dignity is his best legacy to us.

The person who inspires me to be great is my mother. Without her I would not be as successful in life. She gives me advice, tell me whats wrong and what right when I'm confuse also she never leaves me even if I disobey her. I am thankful to have my mother.

The people around me inspire me to be great. For instance, I have a friend who has accomplished a really great thing which I also want, she's my inspiration for that. I find strength and inspiration from other people around me, especially if they have done something really good which I really want to achieve too.

There's so many people who have given me inspirations to be great but If I have to chose only one - I would also say my Mother, she's not a single parent but she was separated (technically the same?
). Anyway, she was very hardworking and were always into sorts of businesses back then when she was younger. And yes like any typical Filipino parent she also wished for all her children to finish college as she was only able to reached 2nd year college and she kept on bringing that up when we were younger(oh so many times hehe...). And after being a mother myself, I can now relate. :)

Person who inspire me to be great? I'll say people who inspire me to be great. It will always be my family and my boyfriend. They are the most important thing in my life so they are the ones who really inspire me from what am I doing. I never regret what I had given them and will give in the future. I believe that I will continue to be a great person because I'm blessed to have great people around me.
