I wish wild animals could sense that we mean well

This is a thought that I have in my head for many years. Every time I meet a wild animal, I wish that it could sense that I do not mean to harm it. I only want to see it up-close and admire it for a while. I am sure they feel our intensions, but their insticts are stronger. For instance fear or hunger (if you go near a lion). I was very happy when the little Robin was here, so very close to us. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2649283.aspx What do you think? Wouldn't it be great if we could go near wild animals?

I agree with you. It would be nice to be able to get real close up to a wild animal. But it just is not like that. They are pack animals and they are very protective of their environment. But it would be nice to be able to pet one and hold one.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could pet a tiger? Or a cheetah?

Or a Panther. Nice!!! I think that would be awesome. But we have to let the animals be animals. They are too big to be house pets.

It is only natural that a small animal fears a larger animal. But we humans have changed nature over the years with our cruelty to make even those animals that are larger than us afraid of us. I have however heard many stories from those who have lived peacefully with nature as vegans in natural environments who have been able to get smaller animals to befriend them instead of fearing them. This can be done by feeding animals but also through the energies that we give off that they can pick on even if we cannot and have no idea about them. Some say that animals can smell the rotting meat in meat eaters and therefore feel safer around vegans. I am not sure if there are any studies on that though, it is just what I have heard.

Yes, it is possible to get closer to some wild animals. If you live away from cities and have some animals around. Everyday contact can create a relationship of trust.

It would be great to have something liked that, the ability to tell wild animals that we mean no harm to them but unfortunately that is not the way of nature. Each living things has a way of protecting itself against its predator or a prey having defense mechanism against its predator. It's the cycle of life and we cannot control it, although we can prevent it or lessen it, but still nature has its own way of going back to its original way. Limitations is what makes life enjoyable and at the same time frustrating..basically the law of nature.

Hi kostas.. You are right. Being an animal activist and working on rehabilitation centre, i have found that we can go near to the Animal (though i have not got the chance to meet lion or tiger). But faced dangerous snakes and so on. They understand the language of love and easily can guess who is dangerous to them. Have a nice time.

hi, it's just a guess but I think if nature did not make it that way , then almost all of them would be extinct by now cause they would be betrayed be those who are not sincere as to intentions, maybe we should just leave them that way, wild.

Nice thoughts, but not everyone thinks like you do. The tendency of most humans is to exploit everyone and everything that comes in their way...be it animals or plants or nature or whatever. When we humans can't control our instincts of making money and we keep exploiting nature, how are we supposed to expect something better from them?!

hi Kostas, I also feel the same but we can't blame them now a days when people see them all they think is to haunt them . It is natural that they will protect themselves to people whether they will hurt or not. happy mylotting
