Are you happy when you have fortunes to spend?will it be O.K if you have a serious diagnosis, but you have enough money to spend for the treatment. Will you be happy if you investments are all paying high dividend, but you are suspicious of the whole world? Will you be happy if you have no friends you can get along with but you have the money to purchase everything? Will you be happy even though you have reached the top post in your organization, but you have no friends or family to share your happiness. To be happy ,you have to be peaceful, content with what you have and a friendly attitude.

For me the criteria of happiness is being healthy and satisfied in life. Even if we have all the riches in the world but we are sick, it won't matter. We're just going to spend every single cent for our hospital bills, etc. We have to be satisfied with what we have. If we always envy and compare ourselves to other people that won't do us any good. We won't be happy all our lives. Happy myLotting everyone.

Dear angelk and rubyroy, Truly agree with you. Our attitude towards things play a big role in our happiness. Live in a positive manner and appreciate every blessings we have. Gratitude and joy from within

Yes that is really the truth about true happiness. We always think if we get some things for our enjoyment, that will increase our happiness. After six months it will be another thing you take it for granted, and the happiness quotient you derive from it will be the same as the other things you purchased long back.So the real criteria for your happiness is your attitude towards the rest of the world. If you are a grumbler, you will find a cause to grumble for everything,On the other hand if you can see the positive side of everything you will find a reason to be happy always.

I have been through many things in my life that have been very difficult to get through, but I've been able to get through it all. The reason that I've been able to get through it all is because of the fact that I've been lucky enough to have a lot of positive relationships in my life. I've been blessed to have a very strong family and some friends that really do mean the world to me. If I didn't have all of those people in my life, then I don't think that I would be able to have any kind of happiness in my life.

Hello my friend rubyroy Ji, Well, Jhon Milton described two contrast chacters namely, "ALLERGO AND OTHER ILL-PINSESERO', one is happy under all circustances, like without any fear jumping from hill-top, plunging into sea, whereas other charcter, ha sdoubt to sit underneath the tree fearing it may fall. I have something to share with you to be happy in the life. here it is :- SATSANG (a) ”If you can balance /stable your mind, when people around you are in un-balanced , and at the same time blaming you”. (NO-reaction) (b) “If you have belief on yourself, when others have doubt and at the same time, you strongly oppose their belief of their doubt” (c) “If you can wait for Good/Bright days without loosing patience/getting disheartened of waiting”. (d) “Everyone around you is deceiving you , whereas you are not in any way.” (e) “ Every body hates you and you do not, at the same time, you ARE not proud to be ‘good’ and ‘wise’. (f) “ If you Can dream, but do not allow them to overpower you, and you Can ‘think’ but at the same time, do not plunge into dreams of ‘thinking”. (g) “If you can welcome ‘gains’ and ‘defeat’ OR ‘profit’ & ‘loss’ with open hearts and they do not unbalance your mind”. (h) “If you can accept your own words in twisted/mutilated /distorted form, happily by ‘fools’ and they do not involve you in their bad plans”. (i)“ If you Can bear/tolerate the ‘gains’ accomplished by you ‘raise to ashes’ , for which you took whole life to build, and at the same time you can once again order your tired hands to restart making”. (J) “ If you can take one chance to reduce your gains in your life, ‘loose’ or ‘gain’ (like a great gambler) (k)“If you can, after loosing every bit in your life, get ready fresh to obtain the same with total energy from all corners of your body and mind, without uttering a single word even”. (l)“ If you Can compel your heart, mind and limbs, when they are so tired and refuse to accept any thing, except that your ‘belief’ and ‘desire’ to order them that they have to march forward and not falling back”. (m) “ If you can roam in crowds, but do not allow your ‘thoughts’ and ’abilities’ to wander stray, and you live with emperor, but do not neglect common man “. (n) “ If you are unharmed by people loving you and people hating you”. (o)“ If you Can respect everybody within the limits, but at the same time nobody”. (p)“ IF YOU CAN REMEMBER THE UN-EXCUSED MOMENT/SECOND (time) OF YOUR LIFE, AND EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR THE SAME”. Then, the whole world belongs to you only and every thing that exists on this, at the same time you fall under the category of ‘ACTUAL HUMAN BEING ’, which is greatest achievement in the life than any thing else”. May God bless You and have a great time

I don't believe that money is the criteria for our happioness. true, it is nice to have money to spend when you see something you want to buy. Real happiness has ro come from inside our own heaet first. no amount of money in the workd can equal the happiness that comes from within.

Happiness come from within. For me happiness is being contented of what you are and what you have. Happiness can be achieved only by people who entrusted their life with the Lord. If you are at peace with everybody and in good health. My ultimate happiness is being blessed with 3 wonderful kids. they are my life.

happy has a vast definition that depends on the every person.in my opinion i already happy because the God is loving me and i am happy because all the gifts the God has given to me.so the real happiness will be achieve if someone who can thank god from everything that the God has already given it to them

For me, being happy is to be contented with what we have in life. There is no happiness when we want to posses the whole world. Those people say that they are happy because they are rich. Those are useless words, how come they happy if they need more money. Meaning they are not happy because they are not contented on what they posses. They still bother on how to make money, money and money...

They are not happy, friend. Because they are not contented on what they have in life. Contentment is the way for people to be happy. Even if your the poorest on earth but content in what you have in life that is happiness...no problem, full of love and care.

I don't think happiness is about how much money you have unless that is the only thing that can make you happy and then you have a very sad existance if it is. I think everyone has their unique something that makes them happy. My boyfriend makes me happy. When I'm with him I feel content and that's how I know I've found 'the one' but, for someone else there may be something different that makes them happy.

To me happiness is freedom to do what I want, when I want and with who I want to.The joy of watching my son grow up and to see the happiness in his face. The appreciation shown from bosses when we achieve our target and the satisfaction when we achieve our own goals. The love that we receive from our love ones, our parents and our siblings, the holidays that we won and the blessings from God is HAPPINESS to me, and Money is important in everything we do too. With money we can bring joy and happiness to the less fortunate. I personally think our attitude, our level of expectation do determine our level of happiness.

I think the greatest happiness is 'knowing-for-sure that all things are where they're supposed to be (and that they are the way they should be).' If 'the way you're supposed to be' is "free to do what you want, when you want with whomever you want to," then I am happy to know that's the way you are. But I think what you are describing are after-effects of your happy interaction with people & things whom/which you show how to 'be happy' (be in the right place in the right way at the right time!)

I agree with coelenterata and also one of these other MyLotters who say that happiness is in the heart. When I was a kid my grandmother, who raised me, taught me that I don't need to have whatever tempts me. I was never used to being poor but now I am. I live in a dilapidated place crawling with wasps and water bugs. I hate it here but can't afford to leave yet. In spite of my economic condition, I have still found happiness. I have discovered and now feed some wild kittens and cats who make me laugh and be concerned about them. I am always on the Internet and have two female model friends. The singer Jessie J, and another up and coming singer are my friends from before they became famous and I enjoy seeing them perform. I am also a writer who enjoys seeing his fiction and poems get published. So in spite of my economic condition, I am happy. And although I am sad because I don't get along with my family, I am still at peace and happy. I think the enjoyment of things are what makes one happy. I don't think one can be happy, if they keep reaching for economic riches or mean friends and family that keep jumping out of their reach.

No special criteria for happiness but if you are talking with someone in funny way or laughing on other chatting way. Lots of money means not happiness only stressed. Friends is must to share our sorrows or happiness.

hi, I am not okay, even though , i have enough, i don't like to be a patient,i don't want to suffer from any disease. I cant be happy , if am suspicious about anything, as that worry don't let me to be happy. No need to have lots of friends , but yes at least one is enough, we cant lead our life , talking to ourselves and with the money,no no, whats the use of going to such top position , if i don't have my loved ones with me. So i feel being happy is important. I realized some new points with your discussion, thanks for that.

Recently I chanced to see a great quotation on the internet,'If you want to be happy,be.'The criteria for happiness very clearly described in just seven simple words. You don't need reasons to be happy.Happiness generates from within you and you can be and remain happy any time you want to.Happiness is independent of anything. You can be happy for nothing.Reasons do't matter.I am neither rich, nor famous, nor have a life free of stress and worries, but I am happy.

I agree.Any situation, viewed with a negative outlook, turns into misery,a sad experience and when negativity becomes a part of our attitude, our life becomes an unpleasant experience for us.Happiness generates from within us,because positive attitude is a habit that we have to develop and it then becomes a part of our nature. This is equally true about negative attitude.

Happiness is feeling that is generated from your inside.Whatever problems you face if you have a positive outlook, you can transform situations and bring happiness.Happiness is an emotion that you can create by getting into a pleasant attitude. When you trust a person, happiness comes from that trusting. When you help a person to overcome his shortcomings, then also you will derive happiness from that act.A helping attitude with selfless mentality always give you satisfaction and happiness.Don't wait for others to give you happiness, but give happiness to others by caring and sharing.

the criteria of happiness is just to be satisfied if you are satisfied in life you will be happy.you cannot be happy when you are jealous of anything.you should be able to derive happiness out of everything then the work will become interesting and you will able to deliver your 100 percent then.happiness is again related to health.happy living leads to a happy life which is stress free and free from diseases.

If you are contented of whatever you have even if it is already broken, then happiness is in your heart.I can not make any choice because that is what my money can only buy so I must be contented and be happy with what I have.I can only dream and wish to have something I do not have, yet my heart tells me to be contented of what I can afford so that no hurt feelings could be felt.Be contented of what you can afford and you will live happily wherever you are.

for me,my criteria for happines, time to bond with my family and friends even though we don't have money atleast we're happy.seeing my family healthy and to have a good source of income which is enough to support my family.what's the use of having plenty of money if there's no one to share it with you?right? life isn't complete and happy if you're family isn't around with you.

I think to be happy is to just be content with your life.. surrounded by your family and real friends.. it is quite hard to really achieve lasting happiness since a problem always comes along.. which is why we should cherish each moment of happiness.

Happiness for me is: knowing that every member of my family and myself are all healthy, safe always, sufficient in all our needs and, having the luxury of enjoying some of our wants at times. Happiness too is being at peace with yourself and everyone around you and grateful for every blessing God has given and will still be giving us.

Happiness to me is a mindset. You can put a positive or negative attribute to any thoughts you have. To quote Abraham Lincoln: "People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be" I notice the days I approach with a postive attitude are much more pleasant for me.
