I was not able to update my Mylot account for quite awhile since I was really engrossed in reading books.
I bought some books and was really carried on with it.
This has been my hobby for quite awhile and I find it very interesting.
I can go to different worlds and be someone I am actually not.
My imagination is moving just like the characters. I actually read any kinds of book and whoever the author is.
I just find each writer good and they have their own style of writing.
Anyway, I think I'll spend my weekend reading the last book that is left untouched. After that, maybe I can buy another or spend more time here writing anything that comes into my mind.

Reading books is an excellent habit, I also love reading and buying new books. I just read everyday, but I also spend part of my time in mylot. Buying books is one of my favorite experiences, but it's also a bit expensive, so I went two weeks ago to a public library around in our neighbourhood and got the memebership card, so I can borrow books for none.

Reading is my all time favorite thing to do. However it is really dangerous for me to do because I get so engrossed that I get nothing else done. Like literally I become oblivious to the world around me (If it's a really good book). Last Thanksgiving I cooked all that I had too (there were three of us cooking and we each did our parts) with a book in my hand. My family thought I was nuts because I didn't talk to anyone or even pay attention to what I was doing, but my dishes turned out really good.
I am in the middle of two books right now, and I've had to put both of them in my closet because I've been working more lately.
I just re-read what I just typed, and I sound like I have an addiction!

There was a time when I use to reqd a lot of books. I too love reading books. I love those suspense and acton novels and Just like you I feel like being part of the story. I do find reding books very nice.. But later on my passion for reading ended when I have started working since I do not have time to read anymore, Do enjoy your reading and hope you can still post here from time to time despite being busy with your reading.

Yeah reading is indeed a very good hobby especially if you're all alone in your room doing nothing. It helps you improve your vocabulary as well as enhance your sense of imagination. But it all depends on the kind of books you are reading actually. Some books makes your imagination go wild and some inspires you with your way of life. Some gives you a lot of information and some teaches you valuable lessons to help you improve your self being. Books like these are usually the ones which are worth reading. Happy reading though...^_^

I love books and I hate what the Kindle has done to books. Eventually there probably won't be books any more and I dread that day. I would love to write a book and get it published. There are so many different worlds that stories can take and it is almost like acting when writing a story. You have to get into the character's mind and head. You have to think like that character in the book and experience the world of the story.

You just have a very good habit. You will be beneficial from reading a lot. You can learn many things from books. As you know, today people become busier and they always complain they don't have free time to read. But I think the free time can be squeezed. Especially when you really like something, you can always find the time.

I used to love reading books, but nowadays, schoolwork has been getting in the way. I haven't finished a book in a few months.
I'm really picky when it comes to choosing books. I know that's bad, but it's just something that has always stuck with me. Not only do I have to find the summary interesting, the writing style has to suit me. To me, not everyone has good writing, and there are only a few that I can stand. I'm sure everyone writes well and has their own unique style, but for me, I can only stand a certain few. I'm really weird, I guess. If I start reading the book and I don't like the writing style, I can't finish it.
My sister reads way more than me. She cranked out the Harry Potter books in a few weeks, when she was in second grade. She reads SOOO much, she reads literary novels I would read in class in high school while in fifth grade. I should probably be more like her, haha.

I love to read. I read all kinds of books and now that I have a kindle I find myself reading even more. The kindle makes it so easy to remember to take the book you. You can also download the first chapter for free so I find it easier to find books that I like that I am more like to finish.
There are so many good books and I know I will never be able to read all of them. However, I am doing my best to read the books on my list.

It isn't even a hobby for me. It's more like an addiction to me, especially when i go to book sales. I can't just get enough. It's just all in the tricks of your imagination, especially when it's your favorite author's work.

it is good hobby you got. it improves English and lot more. before when I was i n school, i was never a reader, i was a dreamer in my own world, creating my own stories.lol but when I met my husband I had this urge to read books because he is a reader and his English is too good. I have to ask him the meaning of words and then I look for it in the dictionary. wow no word went wrong till now. I wish i was like him. that is why I read to come to his level.. thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Reading is also one of my past times. Just like you I don't have any particular author and I read different kinds as well. Be it romance, suspense, thriller or spiritual. I also tried reading memoirs and it always made me cry in the end. Right now I'm collecting all-time favorite stories but I haven't had enough time to read them yet. Some books who's staring me and probably asking me when will I ever touch them again are The Catcher in the Rye, Ned Kelly, Persuasion and two more memoirs books. I hope I can find the time to read them.
