Paypal Made Me Rich

No joke. It did. Each time someone wants to verify their account, PayPal asks for bank details. Once done, they send two deposits to your bank account to verify the correctness of the banking information. The same happened to me. I got two payments from them, the total of which comes to Rs. 2.15. So am I wrong to say that, PayPal made me richer by Rs. 2.15? If not, then I believe my title is apt. Haha. Your opinions?

What is the definition of rich? I think it is still not the correct interpretation of such. Let's put it this way. Do you think that you are now already rich due to the Rs. 2.15 added to your money? If you think so then it really made you rich. But if you think that you are still not rich in your own context, then something is wrong with the phrase.

Well, I guess it will just be defined by objectivity which is subject to one's opinion on the word rich. Even words do have different meanings and different interpretations when used. That is the beauty of it. It means that the human brain is still working on thinking on a different level rather than conforming to a single and straightly defined ways of doing so.

That's exactly my point. Its another of those paradoxes of English language. There is no mistake with the sentence, "PayPal made me richer by Rs.2.15". But in real terms have I actually become rich? Haha. Straight NO. Just having some fun with the language. Good day!

Before they did this, Paypal used to deduct the amount from our bank account but then after the verification they would return the money but it's a very small amount. I guess some people must have complained so now they put the money in our account for verification.

I have not received payment like this from paypal. Even if they send i am sure they will have an arrangement by which it will be deducted from your payments.

Hello Mimo,
Yes, the Paypal deposits two small payments to our account for the verification purpose. Once we enter the payments in the verification field they deduct the amount deposited in our account. I must say you have a good sense of humor. Rather I thought they were so stingy to deposit such a small amount

I'm slightly more rich than you because paypal deposited Rs 2.22 during verification of my account. It's around Rs 0.07 more than you so I became more rich than you. Lets see who is the richest.

Oh yes, I forgot about the deducting part. Haha. So I guess after some time I'll be back to where I was. Did you had to verify your PAN? How many days did it took to verify it? Mine is still pending!

That funds is given back from the amount deducted from you to verify your account. If you received double it means there are errors. Be aware that Paypal will debited that amount after they found out their mistakes. Their system is perfect and they can detect even tiny errors on their system.
