Would you Feel Comfortable with Friends/ Family Reading your Mylot Discussions?

It's so funny you should say that. I was just typing away when my husband came in and I felt like hiding it. There's no reason to really, this just feels personal. Sometimes I do write things I wouldn't be happy some of my family read but it's just venting.

Oh man this is what a discussion. I like the concept. haha. well I will not like anyone in the family and friends reading my discussions because I when I am on mylot. I can feel very comfortable sharing my thoughts and pouring my heart out. My anxieties and all my troubles and happiness I share here on mylot which I share with no one. So it is like mylot is my diary. I love being here and I would not refer anyone I know here on mylot. Mylot is only for me and I know I am being selfish here but I have to. I have no other place or people to whom I can share my thoughts with. thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I think I won't feel comfortable if my husband is going to read my discussions or comments. Maybe, some of them will result to arguements. Instead of typing, I will end up explaining why I have to write this and that. Happy mylotting.

Actually, I was just about to add my cousins as referrals here in MyLot since my first referral who is a colleague at work is giving me extra earnings through her posts. Then I read your discussion and I thought like, "Wait! This is true. I kind of make this site like a vent site where I can release all my inside feelings, whether they be positive or negative. So, if I make them referrals, they might just come across something from me that I didn't want any of my family members to know about. Will that be fine with me?" This indeed, is a very good question. It made me think twice in choosing my referrals. Thanks Jshean20. =)

I invited some of my friends to join myLot, then I just realized that I had written some very personal posts. Well, anyway, my friends doesn't seem to have enought time to participate in myLot discussion. So I don't worry that much.

I used to, but not anymore. I've told people about the site, but didn't give them my username or anything like that. so I've not referred people in awhile but I have in the past. It's just, this is too much of a personal place for me.

No problem if my discussions or comments read by my family members or friends. My daughter read many times but my husband has no time they dont want to see or hear.

i actually refered my sister to mylot and she had helped me a lot with my earning lol but i did have to watch what i posted a lot. she can still get on at any point and see what all i have posted but she rarely gets on any more. Plus I decided that if she gets on and sees something I have posted oh well because it is my business and she doesnt have the right to say much. My sister is pretty cool tho because he has even said what happens on mylot stays on mylot lol. Other than my sister i would not refer any of my family to this site no matter the money because it is like you said I put some personal things on here that they just do not always need to know. Mylot is a good stress reliver sometimes lol

Hello jshean20, I do not refer friends or family to this site because I like to vent and get opinions and advice here. I cannot say that I will never do so, but for me I like to think that this is my special time and thoughts for me. my family knows I use this site so if they want to see what I post or comment on they can. I do not write anything that I will regret because it is how I feel and they know I am a candid person and if I write something hurtful or what not it is really how I feel.

i feel ok,i have encouraged a friend in mylot.we can see each other here.when i want to write some personal matters,i will look for other places.

You made me think about it, and realized that we feel the same. I do not know the reason why... But maybe it's just because I am not known to be like this. I mean, my family knows me as somebody who is conservative, silent, secretive. They do not know that I am that loud when it comes to writing. But I don't see any problem about it actually... It's just that maybe naturally I'm a shy person... ;)

My answer for this question is yes definitely,in my mind,mylot is almost the same as facebook which is some place can share your feeling and something else,so if facebook can why mylot can not?Of course,we should not share those things if it is a deep secret in your heart,if you can just keep those secrets and share something you want.

hey jshean~ i would refer anybody if i'm willing. if it makes me feel more relaxed after saying it out, then why not? no one know me here anyhow.

Sure, I don't have a problem with it myself. I rarely post anything really personal that I would regret anyone reading. It is something to think about though. I guess it is a personal choice on the topic and one everyone should make based on their personal life. Good question!

hi Jshean my son is the only one who would likely read my discussions and he read one where a person really insu ted me aknd wrote me a nasty private message then unfriended me.he emailed me telling me "Mom that lady is just a b.i.t.c,h so don't you let her upset you. I was amazed and pleased too as he stuck up for his old mom and hes not a gushy type of man either

My fiance would read my discussion but only when I am in the typing process he dont go on mylot . If you try to hide something its just going to make anyone more curious . I dont talk anything here that would make me uncomfortable for anyone to see . I dont refer people in my life to join but not because I dont want them to read my discussion but only because I know they wont join . Good topic though because on Facebook I have some people I hide certain photo from .

I have referred a few friends and I think I'd just draw the line there. But the friends that I had referred hadn't been on mylot lately, so they wouldn't have seen any of my post anyway. About referring family members to mylot or even really close friends, I think I wouldn't do either, because for the same reason as you. There's sometimes things that I post that is personal and for them to read it, .

I feel like if I can say it here I could say it to their face no matter what I put on here. I have showed or told my husband about all of the discussions here that I posted. If someone else saw it, so be it. If I didn't have here to come to I would be holding so many emotions inside and I would feel pretty depressed. I always say this is my online journal. Anyone that I have spoken about here most of them have probably hurt me in some way so I could care less if they see it. They will just learn the truth about the pain they have caused in my life.

i do not refer people in my life to this site but personally i feel fine if my wife or else read my discussion because there was nothing for me to hide for them
