Imagine a world without discipline. If you think we don't need discipline, why there are Boss in every company? Why there are cops in every corner of the road. Why there are teachers in the school?
We start having discipline in our self. World without discipline is full of crime. Do you want to live a world like what I have said?

Hello Tushavi!
Discipline is good for children but for an adult, it's cool to give advice but if someone is constantly on my back it would annoy me because it would sound like nagging.

Unless you are violating a uniform dress code, or wearing obviously dirty clothes, or producing body odour, I don't think the boss has the right to nag you about whether or not you are wearing new clothes. I'd tell him to back off, and mind his own damned business!!

Yes Tushavi, yes we should lead a disciplined life. Without discipline we can't reach our goal. Discipline does not mean rigidity. I think you hate rigidity, not discipline. Your boss is your well wisher.

hi,
for me discipline makes us more good, but always lecturing me,oh my i don't like that because it will surely ruin my day, that is why in my work we are all happy when our boss didn't call us or even mail us,anyway he is still your boss so we don['t have choice for that.

for me, i hate discipline but this matter must always be practice in order to make all things organize and better. example, falling in line is a simple thing to do but it requires too much discipline! get?

Hello Tushavi. I presume that you are talking about self discipline. The discipline of keeping one's self on the straight and narrow. Doing what needs to be done with out being told what to do. We all have to use self discipline to get along in life. Is it really new shoes your boss wants you to wear or is it shoes that are kept clean and polished and the pants ironed and neat and clean? We all have these things we need to do that we might not want to do.

hi Tushavi,
yes your boss is always right, agree what ever he is saying,he is also friendly with you only he asks discipline, one day he will liberalize his discipline and he relax that to some extent, discipline is always best for us,so maintain discipline,do you know in military they maintain discipline so they are getting results, have a nice day.

I think you will find, as the time goes by, that your boss it right. Training to do your job right now could result in advancement in the future.

I think there is nothing wrong with some discipline.. I do believe it does work for kids and many adults as well. But there is a big difference between the discipline you give yourself or someone else lecturing you whole time. In the last case I hate it also. Also I do think there should be some space to live, enjoy and breath as well.. which is called: freedom.

Hi there Tushavi,
Discipline is important in big institutions but i don't think the boss should push more if you are already doing the job right, it would be too much but maybe on the other hand he sees something in you that can be developed so that is why he is pushing you like this, ask him why he does this in a respectful way that will not be offensive.

I agree with you that it is a free world and all of us are free. But,the question is,'Is our freedom is complete?'My contention is,'No,we aren't.'We are not completely free, because we are slaves of our choices and whims.Unless we are able to exercise full control on ourselves,we can't be completely free.It is only through discipline that we can be free in true sense of the term.Imagine, what would happen if peddlers and vehicles are allowed to run free on roads without having to adhere to any rules of the road? Accidents. And what would happen if there is no discipline in the country? The freedom of the country would not last longer.
So,my dear friend, discipline is a must, because it is discipline that frees you from slavery of others.
