What are your thoughts about mylot Tasks ... should they be improved or removed?

After a lot of discussions and debates I found out there are 2 main groups or schools of thought amongst mylotters:
1. Those who do not care about tasks and do not want to use them as they like to discuss and comment.
2. Those who would like to have more tasks available so as to increase their income a bit more.
As of now I think the tasks section is practically almost useless. There are only a few tasks and often they are limited in scope. There is no variety.
So I was wondering if you prefer the tasks section to be improved or removed?
What types of improvements would you like to see?

Many of the tasks require you to sign up, purchase something, get on another mailing list and those are not practical for many. Besides that they are not offering more than a few pennies which really isn't worth the time and effort.
The tasks should improved where one can earn a little more and have some real purpose to them.
By the way, I received your email today and tried to respond back to it. I do have some questions for you to review. I couldn't send the email back because myLot says that I am not on your friends list. I did send a request to you. Once you accept I can then forward the email I wrote and now had to save elsewhere until that time.
Thank you!

Thank you!
I have been up since the wee hours of the morning and heading to the Land of Nod in a few minutes.
I saw your message and had another question but got interrupted - kids - and it slipped my mind.
I have to set up an interview tomorrow and then hopefully I will remember what else I wanted to ask you. I will send a message back and we can talk some more.
Thanks again for adding me to your friends list.

The controls for tasks isn't really established in myLot. No one knows whether the task creator will pay or not. That hinders many users not to dwell on doing tasks unless the task creators have a good reputation. Another thing is that the payout for some tasks are quite low. I do agree that earnings from tasks do boosts earning here in myLot. I have tried some tasks before and they are great. However, I only do tasks from Sharon Bucks who pays handsomely and other easy ones. I still have some tasks pending for approval by the task creator. It seemed that they already abandoned the task they put in and I already finished their task making my effort go to waste. So, I am not so much of a fan in myLot tasks.

I was unaware that myLot is not the creator or controls the tasks.
I just like writing.

I'm one of the people that comes onto mylot so that I can discuss things that are interesting to me and comment on other discussions that people have started that do have some interest to me. Yes, when I was a new mylot member, I did check out the task section, but I found that many of the tasks on there were very similar to things that I'm already doing on other sites so I decided that I really don't have a need for the tasks on mylot.
I wouldn't be upset at all if they were to get rid of the tasks section on mylot.

Some task creators abandon tasks, they do not review them, the admin should really look into this matter, imagine me having some tasks still under review after 1 year, its that bad, also, there should be a way to dispute rejected tasks. Some task creators just reject intentionally even when the task doer completes the task, that's not fair too on the task doers part. Then finally, some task require lots of time and Megabytes but the reward is just 0.01, that's not encouraging at all. There should be a minimum amount say 0.2 for some menial tasks and at least $5 for writing tasks. Some people write a whole 700 pages for just $1, that's slavery I tell you. Its all good. I do not bother going there again after a very bad experience.I ll go back when there's improvement in that section.

I agree with you on the payment for the writing tasks, luxlyangels. Unfortunately, unless the requester has worked with a writer before, there's no guarantee an article will be up to standards, esp. with a larger payment for it. Some places have little tests in place to weed out the bad from the good. Those who pass are free to accept the higher paying jobs.

Don't remove tasks! We need them!
If I have a program or site what I want to show to all I pay them trough tasks system instead of spamming the discussions. It's a good place to keep promoting at Mylot legal.

I for one would love to see improvements in the tasks section. As you mentioned one could be increase in the type of tasks. But then that depends entirely on the task creators and what exactly they want to be done. But I think mylot can do a bit to make it more popular by doing some promotions on that. I still do not see the tasks really taking off till that happens.
Cheers!

I've only done one task since I joined myLot and it earned me about $3.00. i think that was a good one and I just hope that kind of task would become a regular feature here. Now the task available are pretty much low, and I don't like it. Earning a very low income by joining sites and so on. I hope that myLot admins could find a way to improve the "tasks" so that more options would be available to us.

I think it would be much better if there would be a great change with the tasks being provided here in myLot. And you are correct regarding the limitation of the tasks given. I hope myLot would consider placing the tasks themselves which in return would also generate tremendous income on their site.

I think mylot tasks earning is very less but if task is easy then I am ready to do it otherwise leave it. Our income will improved after confirming the task the task payer. But still I not completed any task in mylot.

I would like to see the tasks kept here, because, as you said, it helps to generate more earnings for those who choose to do them. For those happy just to participate in discussions, and start them, they do not have to accept tasks. Having a choice helps those of us who often don't have the extra time to participate in discussions every day.
On the other hand, again as you stated, the tasks here right now are basically the same ones. And pay .01 to .05 each. I could earn that much by posting a discussion, in less time than it takes to do the task.

Those who would like to have more tasks it would be nice if you offered more tasks for them. I would prefer that you keep the tasks. Improvements offers a wider variety of options. The tasks benefits alot of people who use mylot.
I know I have been a member for a while. It has been over 6 months, since I logged in. I have not done any tasks as of yet. In the future, I may choose to. Having the option is a plus in my books.
Those who really don't care about the tasks, they would never know the difference if you offered more tasks or not.
