I enjoy a variety of locations and I was wondering what types of locations you like when traveling or to live. I enjoy visiting cities when I travel. I enjoy seeing the types of buildings, architecture, colors. Night time is a must because I like to see the lights.
For living I prefer a bit off the city. Not secluded but just far enough from the city where there are still trees and open spaces.
What about you?

At home I live on an island. In live in the largest town on my island, but it is still a pretty peaceful place and there isn't a lot of noise, pollution or traffic. I moved here a year and a half ago and I like living here, but when I travel I like to visit places that are different from my own island especially big cities where there are lots of things to see and do. When I visit a city I like to look at the architechture and the art galleries and the museums. I also like to visit sculpture parks and other kinds of parks. I like to visit the shops and buy souvenirs and presents for my friends and I like to eat at nice restaurants and drink coffee at some of the local cafes.

It sounds like you have the perfect balance. What island are you from?

I definately prefer to live in more of a rural country type of area, I'm a very private person and like to feel like I can do things without nosey people around watching me. When I travel I prefer a more city like setting for a change, city life is good in small doses in my opinion.

I like city living for how easy things are to get to. Country living because of the quiet. I have lived in both, and really like a mix of the two. I dont really like to drive, and love public transportation. So if I could have both, I would be happy...

You are probably like me. Prefer to be just off the city where things are quiet but still within reach of the city. I hate public transpo lol but it has proven very useful when I did not have a car.

I prefer living in the rural but not that far from the city. I like to live in a place with trees and where i can hear the chirping of the birds. Its kinda serene and peaceful for me. Living in the city is so fast paced for me. I want to live a very simple life with the love of my life and the kids.

For living I like living in the countryside, in a rural village or in a quiet position in a coastal town. I would hate to live in a city, in a noisy position in a town or in a road with busy traffic. The type of road I like is a courtyard or a close.
When I travel I take my disabled son in a wheelchair and my daughter. I like to sight see in cities with attractive looking architecture and interesting buildings to see. I like to see the lights in the night time. The best night time view was from the top of Mount Davis seeing Hong Kong below. Wow! I am keen on coastlines and especially adore visiting tropical islands. I have traveled to Samoa, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, Fiji, the Seychelles and the Maldives. I love to travel to destinations where I can see native wildlife on the land and in the sea. I enjoy seeing historical sites like the Mayan ruins in Central America. My best trip was the one to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. On that I climbed Mayan temples, saw manatees protected, spent time snorkeling and visited laid back Caye Caulker.

Wow, those sound like some amazing places to have visited! I have always wanted to visit the Mayan ruins as well.
I have not had the chance to travel that far yet. The only country besides my own I have traveled to is Canada. Otherwise, it has all been within the USA.

I like to travel to visit all places like cities or countryside. I live in Malaysia. Yet I have travelled to Australia in the south. I have been to Europe, like Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, France, England, all a lot more. As for Asia, I went to China, South Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and India. I also been to USA, Mexico, Egypt and The Middle Eastern countries. In other words I have been to 5 continents- Asia, Europe, Australia, North America and Africa. All these are possible is because of God's blessings as quite a number of the countries I have been are free of charge. Some are from company trips or business trips. Some are from contests I have won.

Yes, the city can be very stressful. So much traffic, noise and pollution.

I grew up in a city but not in the area where the streets are real busy. I want to be close to the school of my kids, mall and just to everything that we need to go in a typical week. For a vacation, I like visiting both the city and country sides of the country.

That's where I live, far from the city but with an easy road access to the metropolis. Where there is fresh air, a backyard garden, free water system and friendly neighbors.

I like travelliung to any kind of place as it is interesting - whether it has monuments, an interesting cultural or night life or just a village with the beautiful scenery... I love taking excursions. But I'm a city girl. I just love the city. I love the vivid cultural and night life, the lights, that I have all the conveniences, and I can get anywhere I want (a mall, a grocery store, a clothes store) with the public transport within one and a half our maximally... like when I would likwe to go to a theatre (my obsession), I deon't have to travel 2 or 3 hours to watch a proper play.

Sounds good! I agree on liking vivid cultural nightlife and lights. That's what made my trip to Baltimore a couple of weeks ago so great. Although I have been there a lot, this was my first time staying downtown for the whole weekend.
