What kind of education system your country has? And when does each semester start?

The autumn term begins in September, then the winter term starts in January, the spring term begins in March and the summer term begins in May. So there are four terms in one academic year for a school.
For a university there are two semesters per year: winter and summer. The academic year begins in October and ends in June. There are exams in December and May or June.
Children begin primary school at 4 years old and leave it at 11 years old. Secondary school is from age 11 years old to 16 years old. Then college can go from 16 to 18 years if the student wishes. University can be any age after age 18 years old.
My home country runs on The National Curriculum at primary school level. The core subjects are Literacy, Numeracy and Science. The foundation subjects are covered in less detail.
