In my house curtains are in every door but in my friend's house curtains is only in kitchen door and bedroom door.
I notice if the person is seating in hall then they can see all rooms because no curtains in hall door. I dont like this. I think curtains should on each door. What you think this is depend upon choice or it is a good habit curtains in every door.

it depends. if you get a lot of visitors frequently in the house then curtains ae required for each and every door. in our houses people come once in a blue moon (rarely) and that too relatives only--so no need for curtain for all doors but only bed room.

Hi fantabulus, in my hometown most of the houses has a curtains in their doors and window especially during special occasion to show that their houses are beautiful and looks goods. But since i am living in the city now, it is right for me to put on a curtains in our window to lessen the dust and air pollution to come inside our house and also so that our neighbor will not see what inside in our home.

I have curtains in my lounge and in all the bedrooms. I have a blind in my kitchen. In the darkness people could see inside my bungalow. I like my family's privacy so I have had all these curtains and the blind put up. My wet room has a window that has great privacy. There is no need to put a blind in there. My front door doesn't have a curtain. This goes into my curtain less porch. It is helpful to have curtains at windows and doors in the home.

Not necessarily. But it looks nicer to have a curtain in each and every door and window. Because it will serve as a decoration to make your house more stylish. Plus, it is safer to have curtains on windows so that people outside will not see what you are doing inside. A sort of privacy in your house... :)

Hi,
We don't have curtains for the doors. We have curtains on only for the windows. From our hall no other rooms are seen. So we don't need to put on curtains on the door.

Fanta, it is based on the individual wish, in our home we have curtains in some window and some windows are always closed, so we don't use curtains for it, if we have curtains in our windows, we must wash it in weekly or monthly manner otherwise it will give a dirty look and smell to our home

Honestly? No. We have curtains for the windows, but that's it. We have a shower with a bath and I think it still has curtains but we don't ever use that bathroom. The bedrroms have doors, the bathrooms have doors, but the kitchen, den and dining room do not have curtains nor doors.

Usually curtains are placed on windows to eliminate too much coming inside the house. Some would prefer putting on doors to serve as a partition between two rooms. The use of curtains varies among people.

I think it depends on the situations. Curtains can be used for many reasons. There was a time everybody had them in front of the windows, sometimes the outside door(s) is front- and backdoor. Mostly these were thick curtains. You closed them as soon as it was getting dark and during winter they were great to keep some cold (from the windows) outside.
It's no habit over here to have them in the doorway since we have doors everywhere.
At a certain poin you did see less curtains..most houses look like show windows.. which the police tells not to do since it makes is easier for robbers to see what your property is.
I have curtains or lamels to keep the light out and I close them all if it's dark. Also I don't like curious people passing by which can see what we do inside.
So I think it depends on your situation if you want curtains or not.
BTW at my ceiling I have made some lately instead of building a wall. This way I can seperate a part from the rest and store some stuff behind it.

It is not necessary at all. Most of the time it is use just for decorations, to accentuate the wall colors of the house or for some other thing. Some used to for the same purpose you are putting curtains in your kitchen and bedroom doors. Some chooses not to hang curtains as they don't actually let their bedroom doors open.

According to me curtain r neccisary for each door and window as it decorate the house very well and if we think of ourself ,how we will look without clothes like this only without curtains the whole house look incomplete . It is also necessary because ousider can see from windows what us happening in our house and there will be no privacy .

I don't think there's one right way to use curtains in your home. Whether or not curtains are necessary is completely dependent on the people who reside that home. If a person chooses to put curtains on their all their doors, that should be fine. If a person wants to put curtains on a few of their doors, that is okay as well. For the most part, it comes down to subjective preference for how you want the inside of your home to appear.

It is definitely a personal choice, but I find when I walk past a house with no curtains up its a bit of a shock. I have blinds in every window, in part to stop so much sunlight coming in in the early hours of the morning but also as a form of protection. With blinds or curtains up its harder for burglars to see inside. Without they can see everything you have and it can make you a little bit of a target. Not that curtains will stop you from ever being robbed. Its also nice for privacy, when your getting dressed or have just come out of bath or shower, or even just doing your hair. I just like a little more privacy, but some people dont feel the same way, and thats just fine too.

Hi, in our house we have curtains as well. But we don't have any curtains on each door. We have curtains on windows. I don't disagree with you that we should put curtains on each door, but I think its too much for us here in our house if we do that. I see only curtains on doors when it doesn't really have any wooden door to cover or hide what is beyond that area.

good day fantabulus,
curtains brings an enhancement to the looks and ambiance of the house. aside from that, the curtains brings life to the house especially if the color and design matches the house motif and the wall paints. in your situation, perhaps, it is not ideal to compare your house into your friend's house since the structure is differ from one another.

Windows can seem bare without curtains. I like some windows if they pleasing either with stained glass or something inside that is on display to the outside world. The choice of curtain or covering makes a big difference too. It can be there for privacy but make the house feel closed in. In my house they are always in motion.

I don't think there is a set of laid out rules for curtains. It still depends on the home owners' preferences. In our house, most. Urtains are hung on windows for privacy as well as to control the amount of sunlight streaming in, for when it is too hot. Of course it also serves as additional decorations to make the room more lively and colorful.

For me curtains are essential for the windows. It gives me privacy, unlike without curtains I feel that somebody might be watching me. Also, curtains makes a home prettier. Maybe because since childhood my parents always put curtains in the windows of our house. but I don't put curtains on the doors. Because for me its a nuisance.
