You shouldn't really get a headache from using a computer, and I would suggest that if you are getting one then it might be because you are straining your eyes and you need to get your eyes tested. If you need glasses, then these will help you to see better while you're working, meaning that you will get much fewer headaches while you're on your computer. You can go to your opticians and they will do some tests and then tell you if your eyes are working the way that they should be. Also make sure that you're drinking plenty of water while you're using your computer, as it is very easy to get carried away with the things that you're doing and not drink enough, and that could actually be the cause of your headaches as well.

Ryan, i think it is due to the strain in both your eyes. You should try to take a rest while using the computer. Try to walk around for a few minutes before you continue with your computer activities. I ever had this same type of symptom a few times before when i used the computer for a long session.

It has something to do with your eyes. It's called eye strain from staring too long at a computer. You need to rest your eyes by going outside and stare at the farthest distance with no obstruction like buildings or any other objects. I read that from a health magazine before.

Sometimes I get that way too so I give my eyes 'naptime', or 'shuteye' aka break time! U should do the same or think about it because ur eyes r important.

maybe spending a long time in the computer is one of the reasons why you are experiencing a head ache, perhaps you have some problems in your eyes. In my case sometimes I experienced head ache, it's because I'm exposed to the computer 15 hrs. a day due to the nature of work I have. Perhaps you can wear an eyeglasses while working in your computer.

I guess it's not good for you to stay in front of the computer for 8 hours. I experienced that too last Friday until Monday. I'm glad my eyes aren't aching now. I guess we have to take some break in front of our computers. Happy mylotting.

When I felt that I had eye strain and I felt headache by using too much computer.I always tried myself to walk and roam around the house or I will close my eyes and I will rest myself so that I can be recovered from the pain felt inside of me.Than not doing anything at all that make my self worst.

You can indeed get sore because of watching the computer.Staring too close for too long periods of time causes your lens's muscles in your eye to "work out" intensely. This can by itself cause a headache, but the more you use your eyes, your retina and lens's muscles need blood. So,the blood volume increases. Both result in something that's called retro-orbital headache, which means headache behind the eyes.
To figure out which type of headache you have, try to see in the distance for a while. If the pain subsides,it was the muscle type.If the pain continues, close your eyes and keep them shut.It could be a good moment for a nap,as well.

It might have something to do with your eyes. I experienced that before and now I am wearing an eyeglasses. I think we should take good care of our eyes. :) take care of yours. Vision is really important in our daily life. :) If you still experience severe pain, please consult an eye doctor. It's not to late to correct your vision. :)

Have you sitted down too long or used computer in dim light? Many things you did might cause a headache. But two of the most commom reasons are what I said at first.

ryanong probably because your eyes are strained and you need to take breaks and look off the screen into the room around you often and do take an occasional break too., also never turn off the lights and just use the computer screen as that makes it too'
glarey and will tire your eyes too.keep other lights on in your
room.

Ah, i heard about it also, we have to turn on lamps in a room when using a computer because the light from a computer's screen is not strong enough.
My mom always turns off lamps when she watches TV, i think it is not good for eyes also.
I will try to leave my seat and go around sometime... But in fact i always forget it, sometime if i focus on my work, i may sit whole morning or whole afternoon...
