We came back to the office at around 8pm today because we are still rushing out some of our needed documents for the second day of our seminar. After sometime, we felt some movement of the sorrounding. One of my group mates shouted, "earthquake!" I estimated it at magnitude 7. We were so worried but just stay as calm as possible. There are lots of people outside because there is an activity and the people were instructed to stay calm. Thanks God, there is no casualties related to the incident.

Thanks God no one was injured. My sister in Surigao City sent text messages to us about the earthquake whereas our niece in Samal posted on facebook that they also experienced earthquake in the island. Thanks God they were ok.

Well, I just read in the news yesterday that magnitude 7 earthquake that hit the Philippine Islands. Fortunately, from what I could see, there were no victims. Obviously I have many friends Mylotters coming from the Philippines, so my concern was immediately directed at them. I've heard of many people who are moving away from areas near the sea to move in hilly areas. This as a precaution in case overtake (And I pray and I hope that does not happen!), the tsunami effect.

I haven't felt the earth move here in our place (Manila) though some claims they've felt it. We're having our weekly meeting around 8pm and we started receiving text by 9pm. We are dismissed after confirming its true.. Hope nothing follows...:(

Thank God you are all safe. I don't get the news last night because we sleep early. I just read it over the net this morning. That earthquake reminds me of the killer earthquake in 1990. I was in grade 3 that time and I was terribly scared. I also read about tsunami alert. I pray this won't happen in Jesus name.

Hi friend, sorry to hear about this earth quake, hope there is no loss with this earth quake. This kind of natural disasters will give more pain to us, as well as they are unpredictable.

That is really a terrifying experience. I can still remember my previous experience last July 16, 1990.

Yes it's true! My heart was really beating fast during that time. I can not run because there are lots of people outside and we were on the second floor of the building. I hope everything will be fine.

I live in California, and we have been getting them more often here where I live as well. You can try to stay calm as much as you can, but you don't see them coming, and you never know when a big one is going to strike. Just a few days ago we had one in the Yorba Linda Area, and this wasn't the first. About one to two weeks ago, we had two other earthquakes from the same area. We are beginning to wonder if the big one is going to hit anytime soon?

I have experienced many small earthquakes and several larger ones. Category 7 was the largest. I was in my office when the biggest one occured and it was scary. I stood under the doorway for safety as this was the strongest part of the building. My main fear was that my office is very, very close to the sea and yes, the thought of a tsunami did enter my head. Fortunately, there were no casualities on the Island from this one. Glad tht you were okay.
