Ever since it came out, I always wanted Playstation 2 but somehow I never got it until now. So can you recommend me some Playstation 2 games that are must play?
So far I've got:
24: The Game
Devil May Cry 1-3
Final Fantasy X, X-2
Sega Mega Drive Collection
I don't want to play Metal Gear on PS2 cause I'd rather get it HD remake when I buy PS3. I prefer Silent Hill games on PC and I played Tekken at friend house too many times that I have enough of it. Any other games I should get for PS2?

If you're into RPGs Radiata Stories and Suikoden 1-5 are great games to play. They have great story lines and you can play with many different characters. PS2 has so many great titles, you would spend forever trying to collect them all.

I plan to get a few great games before moving to PS3. I also don't have a chip installed so I can play only original games and they might be a little hard to find. I heard about Suikoden before and I hear about Radiata Stories for the first time. I'll check them out.

Those games are now considered vintage, so you'll be paying a hefty price tag. I believe Suikoden 2 is going for over $200 because its a collectors item. Radiata stories is even harder to find, I have yet to find a place that sells it.

That's unfortunate. I tried to find original Silent Hill for PS1 and I did find it on Amazon eventually but for $200. At least I can get that one on Playstation network once I get PS3.

Monster rancher 4- You will get monsters from CD's... then raise that monster and make it compete in tournaments. That gave is addictive for me. resident evil code Veronica X- For me this is the last scary resident evil game before resident evil 4 and 5 turned it into a generic shooter.
Godhand_ this game is a masterpiece, its created by the same creator of Devil may cry, This game is very fun and underrated. The protagonist here is Gene, he is a guy who fights demons, years ago demons amputated his arm but God gave him one of his arms, making him powerful enough to fight demons. This is a very comedic action game that is over the top and badass.
Metal gear solid 3- this game is a masterpeace. Also this game have the most emotional boss fight ever.
Okami- Amaterasu is a beautiful Son Godess, she goes down to earth in the guise of a wolf (yes a video game where the protagonist is a dog) to save the world. This game didnt have good sales but it gained a lot of awards. The game is pleasing in the eyes and the gameplay is amazing. It plays like devil may cry but you play as a white dog.

Metal Gear, I already said that I'll get the remastered edition on PS3. Monster Rancher seems like a bad Pokemon knockoff. Totally forgot about Resident Evil, I'll get that one. Maybe I'll give a try to Godhand and Okami looks interesting.

If you like tactical games then you should try Final Fantasy tactics. Me and my brothers love that game and the story is really good too, bitter sweet and touching. Here you will have different characters on your team aside from the main one and you will choose their professions, there are many jobs to choose from depending on their abilities. The jobs are Squire, Knight, Ninja, Chemist, Priest, Wizard, and many more. Their equipments and armor are pretty decent too. We played this game countless times trying all the professions, all the abilities and trying to find every hidden items. Tomb Raider (Lara Croft) is pretty neat too though I haven't played it but seen my brother played it. It is hard for me that's why I preferred to be just an audience. The puzzles are amazing and will really make you think.
