Responsibility of the father to the family

hi bondali I am in the US and here both men and women have equal responsibility for their family as often times men cannot find a job whereas we women often can. there's no disgrace when a man just cannot get a job in this economy but he can care for the children while mom goes off to work. after all it takes two people to make a family so they share all the responsibilities for their families. If the man can and does provide for all the family fine then mom can stay home but all the same we here are equal with our men. I know that in other countries different customs and cultures prevail but here this works best.Putting it all on the father sometimes puts him under such great stress he breaks down so again I think familymembers all enough to work should help dad out

What about the father who can not do these things. Many men have lost their jobs or have been injured and can no longer work. Does that make them less of a man if they accept this and take the womans place in the home caring for the children while the wife brings in the money? Men do have respnsiblities to their families. But, that responsibility is not always to be the one earning the money and "providing" for the family in that manner. If you have a wife who can earn more money; then, shouldn't the man remain in the home and provide a safe loving environment for the children. He would be making the life of his family better by doing this than by forcing them to get by on the smaller income that he can provide.

that a good definition of a father that sound a lot to many man who are responsible, dedicated and very committed to have a good family, become a good provider and a model of his children when it comes to teaching values with high moral standard. though, being a father could mean having a complete family compose of wife and children so. man family look perfect but deep inside have troubled. marriage continues to keep the family and avoid broken home. while there are some father who are single who manage to take dual role as a mother and a father at the same time. though, it might sound difficult the father are able to rise responsible children who were raised to become a finer adult. this are the type of father which i appreciate very much and able to handle their difficult situation very well.

Hi friend, father's role is really important in every family, he is the head of the family and working hard for the improvement of the family. Role of the father is very important in guiding a children in a good way. Children will consider both mother and father as its role model. Most of the persons thought only mother is important to the kid, but they are wrong. Father also have the equal importance like mother in the children's growth and activities. If a father is a well mannered person and doing a lot of good things in front of the kid, surely it will learn a lot of things from its father and follow the same in his life. If a father is not responsible to his family and have bad habits like smoking, drinking and others, the child will mentally affected while seeing its father's activity and it will spoil the kid too. We must be more responsible and follow good things after giving birth to our kids. Father is the first and real hero for every children. A father must realize this fact and do a lot of good things to guide his son in a good way. He must give his true love and affection to the kid and teach a lot of good things to them. Avoid quarreling and doing unwanted things in front of the kids, it will affect them mentally and they will get depression if they saw their parents are quarreling. A responsible father must avoid getting tension in front of the kid and always remain cool and friendly to them

A father is the economic support first, and the model of behavior secondly, the habor of every member at last. All the children even the wife need is applied by father. In a family, the performance of the father affects the children deeply, so he is the teacher in moral, culture, life attitude, and so on. At last, someone who is in difficulty need father's comfort and help. Father exists irreplacebly in the family, so we should respect and love him.

well, as for man, they always know they support the whole family finacially or mentally, but for some father ,especially for the rich, they feel tired and boring of the present wife ,many of them choose to have an affair, even though they betray their family , they don't think they are wrong. they think all they can do for childern is to give them money. It's totally wrong, but i don't know why so many father hurt their childern.

Very well said, bonali919! I father should take the responsibility of raising the`family by providing the necessities of the family, ;primarily with food, shelter and clothing. But nowadays, we do not leave all these responsibilities to the father. There are now working moms that help with the family's needs. And I guess when both husband and wife help each other in providing for their family, everything will be a lot easier for them.

You are right, but in my country the males and females are equal, wich means that the father and mother got the same responsibilities. In much asian countries, this isn't the same. In asian countries, the males are pretty much higher up than the females, like it was in europe for 200-300 years ago. So asia is a bit back in time.

A father is the guardian of a family and he has to primarily ensure the financial means for the entire family. Not only that in order to educate the children, maintain social and cultural ties and all that sort of things also are the responsibilities of a father. It is necessary that children learn from their fathers because it is their fathers they follow and grow up following their fathers.
