So many people waiting in line to see a doctor!

Last Saturday, I went to the hospital to see a doctor. One must to take a registration number before seeing the doctor. vow! So many people waiting line when I got to the hispital. It was really frustrating me. When can we have more hospital and we can have better health care system and never so hard to see a doctor when we get sick?

I do not need to fall in line just to get registered when seeing my doctor.I am already his fan when having a check up,that is why I just call the secretary to arrange my appointment with my doctor.Sometime,I find it very hard to contact the secretary because the doctor has so many patients waiting for their turn for their check up.I the know the secretary well,that whenever I have an appointment to see that doctor I am sure I am in the first list,because I do not wanted to wait for longer time.

If you are already booked by the doctor before,you could ask his number so that the next time you needed his service you could call him immediately.It is very important to know his contact number to have an instant call to him in times of emergency.

Dear Fried, thank you for your response to my post. Yes, what you mentioned to get registration with a doctor's secretary is really a good tip to see the doctor without waiting so long line. But in China, it is also very hard to book the number to see a nice doctor through telephone registration.

Yes, that's true. It seems that the most lucrative profession nowadays is being a doctor, specially pediatrician , cardiologist and rheumatologist.
Here in our province, the rheumatoligist is only one. So the lines of those waiting for check-up is really so long.

Yes, everyday good business in the hospitals. In China, Gynecology doctor is also very busy and with long line of patients waiting out of his consulting room.

Profession in the medical world is indeed a lucrative business. It cannot be helped that people do get sick at any time in their life.
Though, cosmetic enhancements are also booming.

I don't know. Here, too, it's often quite a wait, although if it is an emergency you get seen right away, of course.

Hi Melody, same here, i will need to wait for a few hours to be able to see a doctor. So, usually if i am in a rush i would prefer to go to a private clinic and see private doctor. Although i have to pay higher price but i can get my medicine faster. I only go visit the government hospital when the sick is not very serious and i am able to wait for my turn. I am also hoping the health care system in my country will improve as well. So, we don't have to wait so long for our turn to see the doctor.

Dear friend, thank you for your answer to my post and share your experience with me. Well noted that you go to see private doctor. I think that is a good idea sometimes. But in our country, many private clinics are not qualified with very disappointing doctors.So I seldom go to the private doctors here.

Oh, that's totally frustrating. I know how you feel.:(.. I only experienced the same way. That's why if I go to the hospital I make it sure that it's not a peak time for patient. Usually here in my place 1 pm is the right time to visit the Doctor.

Wow!! Just to see a doctor there are lines like this? Hopefully since the united states or Obama did a health care bill that is supposed to help people seeing this picture should be a warning of what might e eventually be here in the usa and why so many people like me could not afford leagalized medical care..

In our country, I would say that almost 90% of our countrymen had experienced what you had experienced. And that includes me. Only those who are rich and powerful would have no problem going to the hospital for a checkup. But, I have learned something that would benefit others. Simply calling the hospital or the doctor for an appointment would save you time and effort waiting in the line.

Dear friend, thank you for your response to my post ! yes, most of people here in our city have the experience waiting in long line to see a doctor, especially in big hospital. It is even very difficult to book the number through the phone to see the doctor here.

Hi friend, i too have this kind of experience, last month we went to doctor's place for my kids vaccination, we are in need to wait for a long to see the doctor. People must give importance to their health to avoid this kind of waiting

My grandma used to say that when you go see a doctor, you'll come out more sick than when you come in. I think it is because you sit in a waiting room full of other people sick with goodness knows what. And to make it worse, the limited number of doctors make the whole waiting even more tedious and tiring. Back then doctors do on-call house services. Now you travel even though you're too sick to do so if you want to be able to be seen and checked on by a specialist.
