As I have noticed,it depends on your participation on this platform.The more you participate here the higher your reputation goes.You must have participated a lot here and sent quality responses and comments besides initiating quality discussions.That's why you have got a blue star that is indicative of your high rating and reputation here.I am also trying to have a blue star besides my username.

active here as you can and the number for you will increase as You
participate more and more here and enjoy yourself and have
fun too.Relax and do not try to do tons of inane crap,instead

That number it's about your activities to response some discuss and create topic to discuss.To increase that you have to active to response discussion everyday.After the number 500,you can copy paste response from articles or your writing.But if the topic has been deleted your number beside username will decrease.Try to response 5-10 discuss everyday.You will get good earning for that

Its a count. A count of your participation. Starting discussions, responding to discussions, etc. collectively are know as participation. The more you participate the higher the count is. One participation, one count. Good day!

It's all about your daily activities but most of the time it will increase when you post your own discussion and also response to someone's discussion.
Posting in a thread like discussions will not count. You can observe that in your own.
Remember, our earnings doesn't matter on that total number. So for me, I don't care about my total number beside my username, as long as my earnings increase day by day according to my activities.
