I just fired my helper and as a result all the errands and household chores will be left for me, even cooking and grocery I need to do it by my self. This also force me to get up early so I can prepare also my son going to school. So how much time should we need to do all the stuff in our house? and can you share you chores routine and some technique in cleaning so I can save more time or I can make things right at home.

Is your helper not cleaning well which is why you fired her? That sucks! But anyway, sometimes it is better we clean our own house. At least we know that we're really cleaning it very well. I don't have an idea how much time is needed when cleaning the house. If you're doing a general cleaning, sometimes what we normally do is clean one part of the house, and clean another part the next day. If that's just to maintain its cleanliness, then a few minutes will be fine so dust away stuff and sweep the floor.

I just hate how she spends more time infront of the tv and get first to eat than my son. Also when going home and promise to come back on a certain day she will be back the next day than her promise. I also don't like to mandate her but to do her job but no she will not move until I said so.

well I guess it is just right to fire her if she is not doing her job properly.

Fired your helper?!! The amount of time spent cleaning depends on several factors. How organized you are? How many things can be done the night before? How much can be put off until the week-end? How much help can you get from the rest of the family? I would think it over and see where you can make changes and be more organized.

I don't overdo things to clean in the house anymore so I can saves more time. I always get up early as 4:50 am to run and attend aero in the plaza. Then after that things to do at home is unstoppable until I finish and rest a little next thing I know is it is now time to prepare cooking

If you can get a good routine going it won't seem that bad. I'd say section it out. Do two rooms every other day. So I'd say the bathroom and kitchen do Monday, the living room and dining room Tuesday, Wednesday do the bedrooms, twice a week do the laundry. It all depends on what you have, but I say two rooms a day, and keep rotating it.

First of all we have a "clean as you go" rule in our house. Lets say the kids come back from school, they won't throw their clothes on the floor but fold them and put them away. Just had dinner? Wash your plates. Spilled Coffee? Clean it. In other words you can call it the "Don't leave things for later". Dishes won't pile up. No clothes all over the place, less dirt all around.
Then, once a week we clean the floor, vacuum the carpets, sanitize the toilets and get rid of dust. All of that takes about 3 hours top.
What I'm trying to say is, if everybody would just clean as they go and won't leave things dirty. You'll need less time to clean the house.

I have been a stay at home mom for the last 4 years. I prefer doing things around the house all by myself that hire a helper who would just be spending hours on her mobile phone or couldn't finish any chore without being told so every time.
So what I usually do, I wake up at 4am to cook breakfast for my kids. While the food is cooking on the stove, I start doing the laundry. Well, you really do not have to be in front of the washing machine all the time. You just need to set the timer. So while that is turned on, I can mop the floor, dust everything or iron the clothes of my kids. That is practically how I do it. Coz I do not want to slave myself for one whole day.

Its better for me to do the household chores than hired someone who presented her self to help but doesn't know anything and you will just be stressed teaching her what to do repeating it again and again because she can do the things you wanted her to do... Its just a waste of time and money. You know most of the house helpers if not all are lazy and doesn't have initiative to do the things that would make their employer appreciate their stay as part of their family.

I stay alone. So, I do A to Z of my household chores single-handed. I have made a routine for myself. I will clean one area daily.
I am always trying to reduce cooking time. Earlier I used to always depend on gas stove, now I boil everything in hotplate, then put in gas.
I clean utensils immediately after use.
There are many other innovations.
Thus, I spend around 2 hours for household chores. Generally, evening 10 pm to 12 night. After coming back from office, I first cook then do other jobs. In last 5 years or more, I never took any help from anyone.

If we do it once a month, then it will take half a day. The same housekeeping if done weekly will only take an hour or two. The good thing is that when its time for housekeeping, everybody do his/her part of the task. The best thing about this is that everybody felt enjoyment of the task assigned simply because we all are working in a happy environment.

Dear friend,
The time is a valuable more than other things, but we need to arrange and clean our home anytime we can. The prosperity based on our and home cleanliness. Make some time arrangement to clean home then it is not to be boring.

For me, cleaning our house can last forever :). Why would I say so? Because I love doing this. I love fixing anything I see on our house, whatever it is that is needed to be fixed. Every weekend, I make it a point that I do something on our home. Cabinets, doors, windows and others are example of what I love fixing. It's not that my work is substandard, maybe our house is just old. I also enjoy throwing things that is not of use anymore. Right now, I'm thinking of what should I do next this coming weekend. :D
