Work without fun sure kills

Who among you agree on this phrase today? How do you define getting a happier workplace everyday? is it your friends making you happy at the office? Is it a special routine? How about your loved-ones working with you as well? How are you getting fun at the office? I'm having fun being Otaku; I don't mind getting teased at times or even getting bullied but as long as I love working with a Hunter x Hunter mouse pad and a Gundam Deathscythe in front of my work station as I chat along with my cosplayer friends through the phone or online, that's fine. Happy mylotting, guys!

That is indeed true. If you're not enjoying your work, it's like the clock is so slow to move. You don't seem to like everything that you do. My senior once said to me that if you love and enjoy your work, then you are doing it just like a hobby. If you don't enjoy it anymore, that is the time it is called work. You're doing it just to earn money, nothing more. So we better enjoy what we have right now or better yet, resign and look for what we love.

Yes, I agree with you. At work, I can log in to mylot during my breaktime. LOL. I can post any discussion, comment or response as many as I can. LOL. However, I sometimes get so busy so I can only post a few. My colleagues are easy to go along with and our bosses don't supervise us most of the time. We are already at ease doing our job. If there are problems or conflicts in our schedules that's the time we call our bosses. I've been working there for more than four years already. Happy mylotting.

I agree totally , I am more happy when I am doing something I love like being able to go outdoors not sitting on place . I am normally a business student but I did summer job as a prep school teaching assistance and I loved it . My normal desk job is not so fun , I have to sit all day around computer and deal with accounts , I enjoy interacting with people but I see only maybe 4 people on a busy day.

I agree, it is bad for your health to be unhappy at work all day! Not everything is in your control but it is so important to keep a positive attitude while working and to try to relax and enjoy yourself as much as possible. Making friends at the office, taking small breaks through the day and trying to keep a sense of humor are all really good ways to have fun at work. I also keep funny quotes and photos at my desk to make me smile.

Getting positive attitude is necessary and this is one best ingredient in being tentative in coming to work, giving a good disposition at business processes and engaging other work mates to do their part in making everything possible and attainable. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting.

That's a great fun. We have our preferences to create a new world. Seriously, I make it sure, whatever the venture I'll get into... it should be fun!

Part of having a happier workplace is about the people you know there but the other part is about the employer, the environment etc. How you connect with other people is important as it will smooth your daily life. Thing is the best connections that I have made have often been at the worst of workplaces. Having a good employer is important. Employers that treat people as simply a number rarely build a happy relationship with their staff. Many other workplaces include employee relations as a key part of their policies. Canada sponsors a "Top Employer" award which is competed for every year.

I really appreciate your feedback. Good thing that employers are also encouraging a happy and lively environment here, too. We also have our best employee award here to give recognition to those who do good in their department. I hope that all offices would see these opportunity as to make their enterprises grow more in being positive to their employees so employees or workers can work efficiently. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting :)

When I was still employed, I went to a phase where I didn't want to go back to work anymore. The only thing that kept me from coming back was my friends at the office. They were all very supportive, fun to talk to and we always had good laugh. Eventually though, we had to part ways and it was something that made us all sad.

Your job must be exciting as it give you time and freedom to have leisure during workdays. As for me, I hate my previous workplace because people there are the professionals who have a very limited understanding. Fortunately, I was assigned to field work where I could meet average citizens but I'm sure have lots of hearts than the previous ones. I am enjoying the company of people I meet and interact with at field work, and work thus becoming fun even without the online games that I am previously indulged with in the office. Goodluck on your job!

I prefer those time having fun and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy during work. Some jobs are stressing, while this really needs us to be more relaxing and find ways to entertain ourselves. Do whatever we can at part-time,i feel whole day is much more comfortable to pass through.

Yes, I agree. My job has always been pretty horrible, but the people I worked with made things a lot better. Now, most of them are gone just because they hated the job so much and now I'm left with a bunch of new people. Since I hate my job so much there's really nothing keeping me there and working, it really sucks

You can make new friend from the bunch of new people. try to inspire them as much as those people who left inspired you more ^_^-) Try to check what makes them like to job and work everyday. maybe you have the same calling why you're working on the same company so far, and from there, you'll make friends with them :D Happy mylotting and keep on sharing your thoughts with us ^____^)

In my country, you get all the fun if you go through years of boring sudying. Why? You get all the fun jobs when done studying ;) If you choose to not study, you will end up with a pretty much boring job, and most people want to avoid that. An example of a boring job may be the trashman. Going around and picking up trash, for a very low earning. Although people that have moved to my country thinks that they make a lot from those jobs :S I don't know why, lol.

Same thing here. Good thing I didn't study college. LOL. What a blessing in disguise then. I hate staying in a place doing the same thing all over again and doing tasks repetitively without any progress. At least here in the chat support I will be able to be at myself, building rapport, communicating with customers; some in a weird way and most of the time, in a cheerful manner. Also I love being here because I can mylot, browse for manga and play games with my office mates (lol, like a power hour spiff) and some activities engaging us to cooperate with our team members. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and happy mylotting about what makes you smile in the office.

i agree with you in this regard.but sometimes situations are like such that you have to do work which has no fun.you have to feed your family.in such cases we work but without passion and love.this result in ordinary results.not outstanding and if you enjoy your work ytou will definitly make a difference.you will do it by heart.
