If i ask the new generations kids, what Audio cassettes is, they would probably say, some kind of old music, or some games etc, or would say, "Audio What...??? " i grew up listen to music from audio and video cassettes. Now we find digital music, easy to use, no much space required, like the one with audio cassettes, we need a separate space to keep all the cassettes, i had a separate cupboard, since i had tons of cassettes. this audio cassettes, always got spoiled after using a few times, the tape could come out if not handled properly, sharing the music was always a problem, inconvenient to store, couldn't carry all your favorite music while traveling, etc etc etc. but i think it was fun. i had few cassettes, unless 2-3 years back, but they were all spoiled and also we don't have any audio cassette player anymore. Using, CD, DVD, MP3, iPods etc are much convenient, no storage space needed. What you have to say about this?

Wow I haven't seen a audio cassette or a vhs for years. I had switched to dvds and now downloads take over hard drive space. I remeber making mixed tapes the hard way. recording on on side and playing the radio. It was fun now that i think about it.

even i did that. Also my parents recorded mine and my brother's voice when we were kids, singing, talking, etc. my parents have recorded our voices even when we just started talking. just too bad, those cassettes got spoiled. i wish i could retrieve it. i want it so badly.

growing up I also enjoy recording my favorite songs. I used to buy "45-minute blank tape" then I would borrow my friend audio cassette and record the songs from there by doing that I could save some penny because the blank tape was much cheaper.

well, it reminds me of my childhood where I used to listen to Audio Cassettes haha it sure fun to do, but I can't do that anymore since all my audio cassettes were almost broken, the sound quality is almost poor anyway, it sure does fun for me :D

I love music! - ...any kind of music...but I rarely listen to it on audio cassette these days.
I think I may have bought my final full price audio cassette about 13 years ago? I can't be sure. But eventually, I was able to pick them up for just a few pence (I'm from England) from local charity shops (thrift stores), and for much of the 2000s, I still used to listen to audio cassettes; as well as CDs. Some time ago though, I stopped. These days I listen to music almost exclusively through my PC. I have a little hand-held cassette recorder that I use from time to time, but very rarely will I listen to music on it, or any other piece of machinery. However, I've still kept all my audio cassettes, and have them proudly displayed in my kitchen. I never listen to them; but I have no intention of getting rid of them.

Cassettes! - My cassettes displayed (top of photo).
When I say I've still kept all my cassettes, that's not strictly true; shall we say, a good few cassettes. The photo below shows cassettes displayed (top of photo) in my old apartment (I've since moved).

Not really. I listen and buy cds and Vynils when I can. Nothing replaces that old vintage sound tone.

I am a 90's kid, so I gre up with this too. In my country, they stopped using and selling audio cassettes a long time ago. So now I don't have a single cassette or cassette player. I think it's more practical with digital sound :)

I don't listen to audio cassettes anymore. But we have preserved them at home and we still keep our Karaoke. Now that you've mention audio cassettes I might check if they still work.Growing up, I like singing along together with minus-1 audio cassette.Yes, you're right they're not handy unless you have a walkman that you can carry around. But that is not the "in" thing anymore.

even if you had a walkman, you couldn't carry tons of cassettes in you back. may be couple of cassettes. i always carried 2-3 cassettes, when i was in school and early college days.

Not only do I have my cassettes but I have two cassette players that work. But I must confess that I usually listen to music via my laptop. But it feels good that I can still listen to them.

Technologies are really into transitions, I used to have audio cassettes or even the watch movies from a beta player.

Maybe once this is fun but for now that seems to increasingly sophisticated technology to use Audio Cassette is not interesting anymore. Audio tapes I used when I was little, but now it is growing up and I rarely hear anyone use Audio Cassette.

I don't listen to audio cassettes normally, but I do still have some! What good memories that come with them. I don't ever want to get rid of them. I also still have a 'Walkman' (audio cassette player, I always just called it a walkman. :P) Fun to use!
