When is the best time to "evaluate" one's life? A long bus ride can help.

I like it when I take a long bus ride because I find myself reviewing my life so far. Sometimes, I even daydream while I'm on the bus. (It's really fun, you should definitely try it.) Unless of course you're surrounded by loud, rambunctious people, then you're in for a headache. :p

Yeah! A long ride can get you to reflect on a lot of different things. It is like having all the time to think of the things that bothers you or concerns you which you can't do while doing something else. I do this reflection often. I do this whenever I am walking a distant walk, commuting or while lying in bed doing nothing. It is a great time to think of life and it gives you a broader look on things happening. However, too much reflecting can be bad too as you will be just daydreaming all the time and may even start procrastination.

The only time I took a bus was when I was in 6th grade. It was less than a half hour drive. I was young - but I could still relate to your discussion . . . I could sit there dreaming about a crush I had in class - ha ha. And since the bus driver put the radio on (disco songs), I could fantasize dancing with a boy - ha ha.

I totally agree; a pleasant bus ride gives you a lot of time for reflection. An uneventful bus ride gives you time to sort out whatever is bothering you. It can have a very calming effect.

Hi inkyuboz: You can do a short evaluation everyday just to know where you are right now and where you want to go but to make a big evaluation we can chose an important moment in our lives like when we reach a goal or in our birthday or every new year. ALVARO

When I do feel depressed, that is the usual time that I think of how ny life had become and sometimes worry of what migjt be waiting for me in the future. if suddenly, i feel scared thinking about it, i switch to widhful thinking instead. hahaha!

When I feel stress, I like traveling just to ease the tremendous stress done by stressors. Along the road or riding a vehicle, I used to look at the window and entertain myself of what I see.

My ex-husband used to do a review daily. He would go back through conversations he had with people and review events during the day. I think anytime you have some quiet time so you can think clearly is good. And some a certain mood can bring on an evaluation. I was diagnosed with severe depression with panic attacks. I am medication so I rarely have the bad panic attacks now but when I did that was one way to walk myself through it. To do an evaluation of my life and find something positive to hold onto. It helped me through it.

Haha me too :) whenever im alone riding a public transportation, i alwaysfind myself remembering all those things ive done and things i didnt do i also sometimes wonder what people are thinking when the one im ridig passed them by
