I am finally back online, the cable coudnt't be connected on the 31st. |The guy came but he couldn't get into the room where the cable wires are so he had to make an appointment with the Janitor and it was only done today, Tuesday Sept 4.
The was also supposed to be hooked up on Friday, but they got the wrong information, they had Sunday as the hook up day in their computer even though I had a telephone message confirming the Friday hook up date.
What an ordeal. The guys started moving at about 9:30 and finished close to 8 pm at night on Saturday.
I am glad that it is all over.

So , what did you do all the time instead of mylotting ?
I think mylotting takes a lot of time , reading and posting.
Did you do other things you like to do ? Did you make a progress with your upcoming book ?
When will we be able to buy your books ?
When I don't have internet connection I like to read books , play more with my dog (who I play with enough already) , talk with my neighbors , help my grandmother...

two books have been published for years.
What did I do with my time, I sorted out boxes and placed things and I helped clean the place after we moved in.

Yay! Glad you're all moved in and finally connected online! The moving part is always crazy enough - it's hard when other stuff gets crazy too. Enjoy your new place and have fun putting things into place (for us it's been 3 months already - and we're still tweaking things - hee hee).

Well you are back in the flow of things now, at least with the internet. Hope you get unpacked and find new homes for all your belongings quickly. And, remember where you put them since this new place is different from where you were for so many years.
Enjoy and welcome to your new home!

I was only in the last place for two years. We still managed to loss stuff even though I was so careful to pack the stuff. I just don't understand it.

Sometimes last minute items get backed in the last boxes and bags without thought of what room they go into just to get it finished.
I did have one move where I lost a lot of stuff. Too many so called friends helping us move and helped themselves to a box or two but we couldn't say anything because who knew who took anything. And we didn't realize anything was gone till long after because it takes so long to unpack.
But this move we did ourselves and I was just as careful. It is odd that some things go missing no matter how careful we pack. Very strange indeed.

Glad it's all done. Moving is such a difficult thing to do, there are so many things to coordinate and to deal with.

Glad the moving is over and now it's time to settle things.
I like to move from place to place- but not too often.
I like to have new house and out new things/arrange and decorate (but not for a yearly basis)
Wish to see you more often again

I hate moving I prefer to stay in the same place for ever, but life does not happen like that unfortunately.

Well yes I would say you had an adventure with that one. Happy for you that it is all over and your back on. That can happen those things with companies they get themselves mixed up, they work with computers for everything and it can go wrong some. Well good luck .

Glad to hear that you have this move behind you. It's always a relief when the irritating details of the move are behind you. Welcome back online.

yes I am happy that stress is over but I need so many things for this new place, and some of my stuff is missing. It happens every move.

Congratulations on your move! I hope you're not too exhausted from it all. Moving can be very tiring. You probably have everything put away by now so that should make you feel good. As somebody else said, don't forget where you put stuff. I know if I move I'll never be able to remember where everything is. Hope you'll enjoy your new surroundings.

What a relief heh? I thought I was moving this month. They moved me to this temp. apt. so they could tear down my building and re-build it. That was back last fall. All this time, I've been watching the progress and the building is all complete. I was so excited and even started packing. Stupid me...in the dam mountain of endless paperwork that I had to fill out, I somehow inadvertantly checked off a box stating that I would rather wait until the buildings on this end of the complex are complete!! That means that I now have to wait until probably April and might have to move across town until it's done and I move back! I am so upset right now. I can look out my window and see people move into what should have been my place.

that sucks, can you ask to change over? It would be nice if you could.
