Why do people talk to you?

I plan to have a quiet afternoon here in the office. Then as I was beginning to start the tasks I have to accomplish someone came and ask me something. After awhile, someone just said hi then related a little about her day. In an hour, four people already came to my desk and talk to me for different reasons. I am not teh head of the office, I'm just an employee ... a part-time here because I am pregnant, so I just do things I can accomplish.
I love people. I did talk to all of them. I am a bubbly person too, but I tried not to talk too much so I won't disturb other people who are working. But I just notice, they came to me to talk to me.
How funny? hehehe They love me, I love them too.
What about you? Why do people talk to you?
Do they ask you most of the time or because you are the boss of the company?
Do you have dull moments in the office because nobody comes to talk to you?
Is there always a reason why people talk to you?
Have a great day!

it means that you're a nice person for they are drawn to you. when i was still working we seldom talk much with each other at the office as we are always filled with paper works that needs immediate attention and everyone has his own cubicle. we normally have conversations only during break-time and lunchtime.

As a human we are a social being, being this kind of being is our ability to communicate. We can't be alone for the whole day and not talk to someone.Even the most quite person still needs to talk. When people come to you for a talk there is always a reason for that. Whether that reason is none sense or very simple that is always a reason. People talk to you to listen to your ideas and opinions, they also talk to you because they love to, another is they talk to you to know you. Whatever the reason is, in talking we must be wise enough and honest enough.

You are right. There maybe something interesting in my reactions and opinions. I just don't think I am really the right person. Maybe I am too accommodating. Thanks for teh reply.

I hope they are not a nuisance to you. They talk to me about office activities they seem not to understand. If I get a lot, I just call their attention and tell them once. hehehe. Sometimes I am impatient.

There some possible reasons I can guess by noticing the people around me. The most common cause of this phenomenon is that you are a kind or humour women so that others enjoyed talking to you. Another reason may be that you behave excellently which make others trust or admire you, as a result of which, your words bring them comfort and confident. There also exist some other small reasons, for example, they are boring from work sometimes to talk to you for slight problems as relaxing. That happens generally. Take it easy.

I agree with all your reasons. Perhaps I could attend to their needs and I am so friendly. I should be glad they come to talk to me.

Nobody wants to be noticed coming to you. We don't have it here. I will suggest to my boss, but this won't be a fun office anymore if we out a cctv. Nevermind, I won't tell him. LOL

Hi there,
There are hundreds of reasons why other wanted to talk to in the office, coffee shop, home, tren, and others. Those people coming to you for always a reasons even the smallest thing and idea that you hear and receive. But sometimes we are not in the mood or not in a proper place to talk to like in the office in time of working. Sometimes we are trying to push them or just finish the topic in order to split away them.. Like in my situation here abroad (KSA) I think most talkative people I ever heard and know is Egyptian (or they call it mastre). Even they are not really good in English speaking they are always talking to you...

Oh, you are every far my friend. I think I know why they want to talk to you. Maybe they wanted to practice their English speaking skill with you. Actually I don't mind they come and talk but sometimes they are annoying and they already know that you are busy with something, they still insist that you talk to them. Insensitive of the fact that you are busy.

I work as an Administrative Assistant to the second highest official of our company, who is a Japanese by nationality. I have no other companion in the office except for my boss who often talks to me especially when he wanted his grammar checked or whenever he needs easier explanation of complicated terms. I am not much of a talker but rather, a listener. But sometimes, I also think that sitting quietly most of the time in a corner wouldn't do much good on my part. I have been assigned to different offices from the time I have been hired in our company. Sometimes it's very stressful because you do a lot of adjustment every time you deal with another boss or another bunch of office mates. However, I take it as a fun experience wherein you get the chance to meet new friends and colleagues. We have a big company and there are more than 300 employees you must deal with from time to time. When I transferred in my new office, I have noticed that former colleagues often visit and simply talk to me about life, work, family, or anything they wish to share. They spend a few minutes to converse and sometimes return again when they pass by the office. I don't know why they always took time to see me. My only assumption is that, probably they find me a good listener. Someone who does not judge or discriminate people. I love hearing their stories and sharing mine as well. Janitors, assistants, drivers, and even senior staff are openly talking to me. Probably, it's their way of relaxing their emotions and I'm glad that somehow they trusted in hearing their stories. It's not bad when people often talk to you for as long as you don't delay your tasks and disturb other people. Just set some limits.Remember, you are in the office and not somewhere else where long talks are not an issue. A few time of healthy and wholesome conversation is acceptable unless it turns out to be a gossip habit. Good day!

People talk to me because I'm a good listener. As far as co workers go, sometimes they would come talk to me because they needed a break from their work and then I'd boost them to get their work done! lol

i'm a high school student and i admit that i can easily understand what our teacher said so my friends often talk to me only to ask about that. very sad right ..
but luckily i still have many friends to converse daily, as a friend. we talk about boyfriend, or gossipping each other, etc.
as seen in your photos i think i know why people came talk to you.. lol
Have a great day too :)

Well, lucky you you have a lot of office mates to talk to. Me? I'm just at home sitting infront of my computer and doing my work. But my mom and my sister talk to me every now and then if I seemed to get bored. They talk to me because they wanna ask something or they wanna share some stories, feelings and emotions. Other than that, I do mylotting. I don't speak but I type what I want to say. So I can with this I can still talk, I just use my head and fingers to type it on. Have a great day too.

I think for the most part why the people I know talk to me is because I provide good conversation. Sometimes, I believe I exude charisma to some people; in other times, I think people talk to me because I seem approachable and nice. While some people may look to me for some conversation about the day, there are those who also ask me for advice. Every time I am with friends and family, I try to be as considerate and humble as possible.
