I feel so alive!

This afternoon, it suddenly rained. Instead of feeling bad about not being able to go out again, I stood outside, lifted my face to the sky and felt the rain pour on me. I closed my eyes and imagined having a new goal life. It was really great!
For several months now I feel like I was not growing as a person. I work from home, help my son with his homework and achieve his goal in school, stay online most of the day, and meet friends occasionally.
So I had asked myself would I still be doing the same routine till i'm in my old age? Of course I had answered no. Because now I have a goal on what to do with my life. I'm going to enjoy it, I'm going to explore the other side of the world. I'm going open my eyes to new opportunities and live the life I've always wanted.
By the way, the rain felt really good on my face!
What have you been doing with your life lately? Are you enjoying what you're doing or just doing it to get through the day?

Good Toni, that you have finally liberated yourself from thinking that your life will forever be routinary.
Actually, it's up to us to make some changes to our routine. Me, when sometimes i feel that my routine is already boring me, i called my friends so we could go out and have some clean fun. KKB, Kanya, kanyang bayad ( Pay your own) , but most of the times, the moneyed ones would pay.

Oh i love the clean fun! I do that too, but most of the time, I'm the only person who stayed clean while the rest of my friends got wasted!

We should be proud of ourselves then Toni. We don't get wasted having fun.
I think we are raised up well by our parents.

hey toniganzon, my life is kind of busy these days, and I love busy schedual personally. I get upo early then got to go university and then geeting along with the friends, stay online , mylotting, facebooking, studying and at the end of the day texting and calling my love ones:). I feel like living every moments because I am not sure for how long I'll be alive so why to worry for tomorrow, I try to give my best in today, enjoying every moment.
you start living and enjoying your present too, don't worry about old age, who knows what will be the circumstances.

I'm not really worried about old age, I just need to do the things I should be doing for myself before it's too late. My friend keeps reminding me that we shouldn't let opportunities pass by because we're not getting any younger. In a matter 8 years, who knows, but I hope it won't happen, I could already be a grandmother.

I have been looking for inspiration in the day to day as well as in my dreams. There really is something about looking at your life that makes you think. I guess the rain washed away any self doubts of what you could accomplish, and you are on your way. That is how it starts, with a good thought and then you make plans for action. Good luck to you.

i loved rains when i was younger. i still do but i just hate it when it is strong and plenty to the point of flooding our place. i hate it when it's time of work and i have to drive my motorcycle... for over 8 years now, my life goes the same all through the days of home, office, home and office. i just have to wait what will be coming and going in the office without something to expect, except paydays.

I love the rain as well as long as it doesn't get in the way of my activities. It brings back memories of my childhood. My mother would allow us to take a shower under the rain. That saved her from paying excessive water bills. She had 5 kids after all!

Well, I am waiting for the days that my training would end. Ten days to be exact. I'm glad this is almost done. There are times I would think to myself, am I really for this job? Yes I want to serve the public but having this training (not physical) somehow made me think the other way. I think I am very far behind comparing to my group mates. I cannot absorb anything. Maybe because of some other factors, like my family whom I leave at home, different interest and my personality. But I have to continue because I know that my family is expecting a lot from me.
The kind of job I have is a dream to many. Not only that they say it offers a higher salary compared to other jobs in the government but also the way people look at us. The honor, the name. They look at us in a different level.
Well, I hope I could just cope up with the situation. For my family.

That is called prestige. There are jobs in life that are prestigious. It's not because of the salary. It's not even called a profession but it's a privilege.
Good luck to you!

Aha, glad to hear you have a new goal life. This week, it rains heavily every day just when I was going to be off my work. I was very busy with my jobs. I always have to deal with more than 2 projects at the same day. But, I think it is very interesting and it let me be full of a sense of acomplishment. To talk about the goal, I think my state of mind is a little bad these day. I feel tired and lonely. Because I am worring about my future, and feel frustrated these day. Maybe I need some more courage. Today, it is Saturday, I just stay at home and do not go out for a moment. I have thought about many things. Maybe I need to think about that simpler in my life. Just fight, don't care about the result and enjoy the process!

That phase in life sometimes happens to us. Don't worry. You're just too busy at the moment. Take time to relax and enjoy simple joys again, like the rain.
Enjoy your life!

I am busy cashiering my small business today. It's very hot outside but before 4pm, I am about to go the bank which is infront of our block. WTF! The rain come and I cannot go along the road because I forgot to bring our umbrella. Well, I did it by the used of small face towel put in my head. I am a little bit wet going inside the bank but I didn't felt shy. The manager and some teller are my close friends. I know they understand.
I like to stay here in our place. I want to monitor my family specially my wife who is now pregnant on our first baby. Aside from that I want to manage myself our business. It's different if I am here overlooking the flow of it.
No choice, I need to fly again to gather more funds for our future specially to my incoming baby.

My brother has to take care of our family business while i'm away. He doesn't want me to go anyway. We never had any problems with money and he didn't even want me to work at all. When I got a job before, it was a battle between me and my siblings. But I wanted to be independent.
Now they just want to see me happy. I've always wanted to live somewhere else and set a goal for myself. My going actually is a decision that i've made for my very own self. I just want to be away for awhile. As for my son and my hubby, they could always go there during vacation and be with me.

Hi toni
I love the rains and getting wet - they always bring freshness to me - kind of a positive way to look at things.
Of late, it is the health that concerns me, you know I have some non-curable ailments. Everyday I wake up and try to believe that I will not let the illness deter me in what I am doing. I thank the Lord for the work that I do so that I am able to earn some for my medical expenses and everything else. And that desire to keep going on... helps. Though I would be honest and say I dont enjoy most of the day (as of the fact that I am alone here, and ill) but for the other things, I try my best to enjoy the most of them.

Dearest Sid,
I have always admired you for staying positive despite of all those difficulties you are going through.
I was born a lucky person and never really had any hardships my entire life. If i look at my life, all my complaints are petty things compared to what others went through. I never had to think where to get funds for food the next day, or will we have electricity the following week.
I should start appreciating life and be thankful for what I have. My health, my family and my friends, which of course includes you.
Thank you for being such an inspiration to me.

I am still wonderig, is the earnings from the online job is good enough to run a family and a life with a saving. From my point of view, I think it is much difficult if we only depend on the online jobs (normal) the number of houurs we work on it and the remuneration what we get it may not be sufficent enough.
I am working for a multi-national company and it is for so many years and the earnings for my job is morethan what I expected and I am really happy with it. I am here for a lont time (15 years) and more and never feel to have a change in the job as I really enjoy it.
I do the work so excellently (not boasting) but from my experience and the satisfaction to the people around are pointing it. And also, as there are a lot of new people comes in and going, I have a nice, fresh atmosphere around as most of the people belongs to 20-30 years of age and all are highly well-maintained.
When we get everything together, we alwys prefer to deliver the best job what we can do and I am really enjoying what I do and the people who give me the work is much satisfied, which make me also more satisfied.

My job actually is online but it's not the same like mylot or writing for somebody. I am an online instructor and i've been earning big from the time I started. My students are from another country and I've been teaching them for years now. In fact my salary is higher than those who are employed in our place. The only downside is that, I get to work at home alone with nobody else to interact with. Though I'm earning more than before, I miss the life of working in a real work place. My job has bought me a house and all the conveniences in life.

Well, just to answer any questions that you have posted at the bottom of your discussion, I can say for myself that, despite my 37 years old, I still have an uncertain future, all to be programmed. Of course, many say that I am back because at this age, I should have been already settled, at least from the point of view of work (which is still, unfortunately, I did not!).
But we must keep in mind the fact that I am still a person, the bearer of a psychiatric disability of 75%, this particular should not be underestimated.
You also talked about the rain. Yeah, well, I would take in my town, a bit of rain in the head, just to freshen up a bit of my ideas!

This is a fabulous read. I am on the same ship as you before you went to the rain. I used to compare myself in a hamster, just running everyday on a wheel that does not get anywhere. We basically have the same routine. And indeed, people like us should see the other side of the world and get a different taste of living. Cheers!
