Teaching our children to be independent is very important. Let's consider this expression: "It's better to teach children the roots of labor than to hand them the fruits of yours." Do you agree with this fellow mylotters, feel free to share your thoughts about it. Happy mylotting.

As chidren become toddlers and are learning some independence we need to let them be independant. The basics like don't run to their aid each time them fall. Let them figure out things for themselves. And don't run along behind them cleaning up after them. They need to be responsible from an early age. It will pave the way for a good life when they grow older. Happy Mylotting.

Oh, yes. I absolutely agree with you. My parent-in-laws taught us that. When our kid was still a toddler. We often ran after him each time he fell. It wasn't good. I'm thankful that my son is being independent now.Thanks to my husband and to my parent-in-laws. Happy mtlotting.

Educating children to be independent, it is very important. We must begin to teach independently since childhood. So children can do, without help from parents. But, we must pay attention to the age of our children. We have to teach, according to age, and ability of our children.

I'm glad you like it. Yes, that's one thing we need to teach them. It's important because they need to be independent in their own life. We are not always with them. Someday, we'll be gone and only our teachings are left to them.

The statement is worth to inculcate into our minds. Being independent is a strong will to withstand the trials that may come in your way. No matter how difficult it was, stand firm of what you believed in. The tangible assets of our parents are blessings, but we don't need to depend on this. We can not wait like Juan waiting a fruit to drop from a tree. That's a very typical personality for some, but it's not too late to change for a more productive person.

Yes, I agree with you. As long as possible, we should not spoil them or they will learn to be lazy. It will be hard for them to change if they already grew up with that trait.

Yes, we have to teach them or they will depend on us forever. Being independent is very important. We'll not be there for them forever. They should also stand on their own feet someday.

I agree that we should teach our children to be independent and to make their own way. After all, we parents will not be around forever. If we can, we should help them to get the education they need to get a good job, but after that, they should be on their own.

yes, i agree with you, it is so important to children to be independent, if some children cannot be independent, they will meet a lot of trouble in the future and it is hard for them to get success, so i think it is every parents and teachers should do--let children be independent.

I agree with your opinion, its very important to teach our children to be independent.Because, some time our children may be live far form us, like when they study in university out of our home, so they can live independently without constantly bother other people and not spoiled.His independence could began when he still child , may be when they are before in the kindergarten, for example: educate our children to use their clothing themselves,to take bath alone and ofcourse we still supervise them in their activities. Nevertheless, We keep emphasizing that we are social beings and we must help each other if anyone needs help.
