It looks like a light show outside right now. Storms don't normally bother me, but the ones around here can sometimes be unpredictable. I also have to worry about the animals since I have a hobby farm. They also bother me more now than they used to because I have kids. Do storms bother any of you?

We must live in the same general area. I'm in KY and we had a doozie come through tonight. The leading edge was zipping along at close to 70 mph. Storms don't usually bother me. But my neighbor asked me to come and sit it out with her as she was scared when she heard what the intensity was going to be. I stayed over there a little over an hour. I think this area had wind gusts of about 45 mph. Further north there it more intense. Roofs blown off, trees down and southern Indiana was without power for a lot of people. The tv station was knocked off for a few minutes and they came back using their emergency generators. All is calm now.

Yes we do :) I live in Western KY. Last nights storm wasn't very pleasant either. Is it just me or do the storms we have been getting the last few years worse than they were say 5 or 10 years ago. I am just lucky that I have lived here my entire life and have yet to see any tornadoes in my immediate area.

Yes, I think the storms are getting more intense. We had a serious tornado come through here a few years ago that destroyed a mobile home park and a race track. We've had a few tornadoes since but none as severe as that one.
