Jump Out of Your Comfort Zone

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone? I think at the beginning of this year, I decided to talk to people that I didn't know. Random strangers. It took me a whole hour to do it. But now after so many months of practising, I am able to put that inside my comfort zone. What was the last thing you did that was out of your comfort zone that you intentional did?

I've had troubles stepping out my comfort years for many years now but I'm improving a lot now that im a senior in high school but im still struggling. I take a few college classes and its so hard to participate in the discussions but last Friday I seem to do it very well! The class was different and smaller than usual though so I think I was just comfortable already. I participated a lot though and it made me feel so good. unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to do that again when I take that class next friday. =/

That's good to hear. Just keep pushing and pushing and soon, you will feel at ease with the things you were previously uncomfortable with. I don't know about you, but I found that a lot of what was holding me back was all the things my head was imagining. All the bad things that could go wrong.

Yeah I'm definitely going to keep trying. I'm pretty sure what's holding me back is just fear of embarrassing myself and being judged. I've came a long way though so I care less about what other people think and have more confidence which helped so much.

Stepping out of your comfort zone is an important thing to do, I think. I don't remember the last time I did, but I generally try to make myself do things I would initially not feel comfortable doing so, because I think it's better to learn, be courageous.

It is good to learn and experience new things. Even if things go wrong, you just can't let it make you feel like you are a failure just because you failed. Failing is necessary to learning since you get the opportunity to learn from them and be better.
