Do you agree that Money is the Root of all Evil!

I think its greed that is the evil part. Just money or the use of it I don't think it is that evil.

Money, material things.. or anything that would translate to an obsession... i guess that means that it is evil. Everything that is too much for us to take, too much love for someone that we forget others, that we neglect ourself, our God, and even our family and keeping only our focus on this person we supposedly love... means that it is something that is not of Godly nature. because anything that would actually keep your eye off God's plan for you is evil. in its own way. Being well off, but knowing how to control your money is not at all bad - being so engrossed in making it grow even at the expense of others meant that we are allowing money or material things take over our time... take over our life in general.

I totally agree with you. I just realized it lately my husband was no longer as extravagant spender to us as before. It was much better when we only have enough. But now that he has a little of much he tends to be angry whenever we spend his money even for foods. He seem to be driven away from us by his money. He love it more than us that he never realize it hurt us already. On the other hand, some people tend to be bad whenever they got money. They can afford to do everything because they feel powerful.I guess money is really a root of all evil..

I dont believe in the saying that money is the root of all evil, because money is only medium to make the all things in balance. imagine life without money how we can make other push to work? it will be worst.

I believe to that sentence as well that money is the root of all evil. Oftentimes it makes me think that all things and even the situation of people has something to do with money all the time. It is true that money is our necessity in life and we are even worked hard to earn money. However in many instances just because of money then there are people who are being different to the extent that there is already discrimination factor just because you are not rich. First of all isn't that the basic fact of saying that a person is rich or poor is because of something to do with the money? There are a lot of people who glorify people who are rich but then they are discriminating the ones who are poor, isn't that money is still involved there? Another thing is the situation in your family when your parents are bragging that they gave you all the things you need like education, they are sheltering you, they gave you what you eat then they are obliging you to ask in return when you are already working, isn't that money is still involved there? Then take note if you don't have money to give or if don't have money at all they are so mad at you as hell until to the point that they are already putting you down. Money is also root of evil because of the corruption and crimes. In my case I could sight an example why money is a root of all evil. Our relationship between our relatives is not that strong and my cousins are not even treating me well just because I am not rich. But then it is better to be that way because obviously they are users who can be a member of dirty politics.

I think it isn't just money, it's also things like property and position, so I don't think money is the root of all evil, just that it is an obvious goal for people and many people want it so it is a major source of conflict. Of course, I, too, wish i had more money, although I wouldn't hurt anybody to get it.

People can't buy me for money, I don't see money can replace my reputation, pride and dignity. It makes me a fool.

Of course I agree with you.In this modern world,every single thing from your friends to food and place to live and status in the society is built upon on money.For this reason,people would go to great extents to get hold of money.Just because there are strict laws for getting illegal money,there is comparatively less bad things happening to get money.Otherwise all the people in the world would go to any extent to get their money.It is surely the root of all evil.

If your child is starving what would you do to feed it? If the only way you could get food was with money, what would you do to get that money? Whatever you would do has nothing to do with whether you love money or not. It has to do with how much you love your child and your need to feed that child. If the money overpowered the person, then we can say it is a root of evil. It happens for some, the down side affects the innocent souls.

Money can be seen as the root of all evil, but I believe people are the problem. People are greedy, selfish, and will go to great lengths to get what they want. Money is the problem because that is what people utilize. It is what motivates them to do evil things.
