I was addicted on omegle - a couple times ago. I met many kinds people - and three of them were having dislexia. At first it hard for me to understand what they said because I have to re-arrange their writing to be able read them .When we were chatting I talked to them by speaking , but since I'm not an active English speaker I only could understand them by their writing- I felt like I have "hearing dislexia" , but they are nice people - they seemed so hard to make me understand but they never blame me.
And I was so curious about dislexia, and I was surprise by an article about Keira Knightley having dislexia - she just covered that when she was in a restaurant, she realized she couldn't read the catalogue at all that she asked the clerk to read for her. Then I searched for some list people diagnozed by dislexia, I was quite surprise when I saw Tom Cruise, Anthony Hopkins , Keanu Reeves , Salma Hayek, Orlando Blooms and some other famous people are in the list.
They are having a crucial disorder - reading difficulties. But they could do a great achievements. Salute

There are many people out in world with this disease. This disease influences ones speech and thought by disrupting the continuity of thoughts and language and this infuses a senselessness towards words and speeches and thoughts. This disease is a very tough one as one need to act here decently and speak decently to live a common or average life in the society. This disease make one not able to relate the sense or logic associated with something. I also do think that these people tend to be more polite than us. However I haven't never got a chance to speak with them but I have watched some documentaries and movies related to Dislexia patients. This need real coping for dislexia patients.

I don't think dislexia is a disease, dear ..
It is a brain based type of learning disability , it is a condition where people have dificulty learning to read it doesn't matter how smart he/she is. Dyslexia and IQ is not interrelated as a result developing of cognition independently . You can see Albert Einstein for an example - he has dyslexia too.
With a special trained teacher and a bit more time to assignments, people with dyslexia can live succesful profesional lives. As you have read on my discussion above - Tom Cruise (even Einstein) has dyslexia and I don't see him as the one who aren't be able to relate the sense or logic or something intelligent if that's what you meant :)

Yup , you are absolutely right, dupremo. Dissability is caused by malfunction of one of body's parts. And it isn't always caused by disease as you mentioned, Dupremo

Dyslexia is an impairment not able to read. Some people noticed their children manifesting this, there are misnomer to diagnose dyslexia as mild mental retardation. Some parents perceived mistakenly that their child showed as a slow learner in academic. If the parents suspected that there is something wrong to their, it would be better to consult a doctor. For the reason, to ask how will their cope up with this kind of conditions.

Yes- some parents couldn't get along with the condition due to the misunderstanding on what the exactly dislexia has to do with their children. The school and also the teachers have the main part of presenting an enough information to be able support the children .

Have you seen the Indian movie "Taare Zameen Par"? It is a great movie, and no I'm not Indian. This is a movie about a boy with dislexia (I'm not going to be a spoiler). Anyhow, I have so much respect for people like you having that problem, I can not imagine the pain you guys are going through since there are tons of beautiful books out there that you guys want to read as well. It is just so amazing that there are a number of celebrities and personalities that became successful even with the impairment.
Kudos to you Juliyan

I haven't heard about the movie. I tot it would a good movie to explain about what dislexia is - since people stil haven't gotten use to it , some parents couldn't deal with that thing. Btw, no, I'm not having dislexia, I meant I met some of them and they have been my friends . They are nice - knowleageable and it seemed that they could deal with the condition :)

Yes, I saw one of the Disney actresses tell her story of dyslexia... She plays CiCi on one of their shows. Dyslexia is something that one can deal with if they get it diagnosed. I think one of the major problems is that people don't think children have it right away. They rather assume that they are just not the best students.

Yes, Jalucia. Some of them will link the condition with some retards one. It just because they couldn't read properly - doesn't mean they couldn't learn something so well. It just a problem how they adapt with the new method of learning ,rite?

Yes - people can deal with many problems as long as they could see it from the other side and they aren't mistakenly understanding about the fact in it .
