The family and relatives were so glad to have a new member of the family. Definitely, our dear niece. She had this first cake for her first month birthday. I do believe, some couple celebrate their relationship in a monthly basis or others in a weekly basis. But for our baby in the house, we celebrate everyday. A special cake for month, since she was brought out to our world.

I do believe that each month of a small child's life is very important. However, we never celebrated the monthly anniversaries of a child in our family's birth with birthday cakes. There was one story that I recently read on the internet where a baby was born with a fatal disease and that family did choose to celebrate each day of their child's short life with a birthday cake and small birthday like party.

I never have heard people doing this for their child! With people dating, yes! All the time! Sometimes that gets pretty silly for some couples! Nice to hear you have a new memeber of the family! My latest was born in March and I still have not been able to meet my new great newphew! Probaly not until Thanksgiving! That bums me out!

That reminded me when I gave birth to my son. Every month till he reached the age of 1 we celebrated his coming to us Relatives would visit the house and just play with him. Of course there's always cake too. I wasn't into celebrating the monthsary thing with my husband. For the first few months it was ok when we started dating. But after awhile, we just waited for a year to really celebrate. My wedding day falls on my birthday, so it's a double celebration for me.

We have a new baby too in our family and he is already 8-month old and we also celebrate each month that he gets older, on the fourth of every month.

What a sweet idea. Every day should be a celebration of life. What is your niece's name?
