Just read a story how honesty pays off big time. This young girl found a stack of gold bar and immediately turned them in to police. Both the police and the finder thought it would be easy to find the rightful owner of such a distict item. It turned out that the owner was never identified; and after a certain amount of time lapsed, the police ruled that it is finder's keeper. So, the girl gets to keep the treasure she found...

yes this happens many a time with practicing honesty but we must remember one good advice from one marvelous philosopher and educationist and great mentor named 'chanakya' from india who wrote the arthaniti or economics in our language....who says excess for everything is to be left....so do not practice anything excessive...and you will be happy in life..I myself practice honesty and can very well imagine how you are feeling and what happens to honest persons...many sacrifices many punishments came in the way...

Honest is the best policy because it is good for you. The alternative is dishonesty and if you practice this dishonesty will become a way of life to you. This will affect your family life, your relationships and your judgement, to mention a few that come to mind. It is true that honest people sometimes suffer for it in the short term, but the long term effect pays dividends.

Honesty is the best policy is proverb that has policy as a part in it. It decides the way you take take is rational or not. Policy should always be good and must be right. And right is right in every sense. Nobody and nothing can take one to his self destruction until unless you start taking something that way. This need much more than what to be honest because ones you apply this to your life one will know there more and further ahead of self destruction, there things exists. And why there be any such word be ever associated with a very positive and enlightening word honesty. I personally think it need much of self control and devotion to truth to walk on this path.
