13 years ago at young age I enrolled my kids in MartiAl arts school so that they can depend themselves .. But they want me to accompany them.. Will that's my dream when I was young too, to enroll in martial arts.... But for two months they were not interested, seems that I am the one interested ,they don't want to go in gym anymore they better want to play basketball at home, or play computer...it's my dream that they will excel in martial arts but what can I do, I let them do what makes them happy.. It's great to be in martial arts school but ashamed to be there Alone.. lol.

Dear sunshinefame,I think you spoiled your kids,I think no matter what family the kids were grew up,they should all let something to protect themselves, and in my mind in order to let your kids more disciplined you need to enroll you kids in some serious martial arts school and do not accompany with them,so they will learn the really knowledge in that school and can depend on themselves, they will grow up fast in that way.

Very good choice because I feel martial art is good to defend ownself. I wants Govt. should introduce this subject as compulsory subject for every school students so girl can defend from cruel mans or boys

You can never force them to do something that they don't want. Wait for them to tell you what they want. Sometimes that is the mistake of some of the parents, we tend to pass on to our children our frustrations. Well, personally, when my daughter told me she wants to do cosplaying, I allowed her. I cannot force her to do dancing or singing because I know that is not her line. Now, I know that she is happy to what she is doing.
Have a nice day!
