Internet seems an important part in our lives. All information can be found in the internet, even making money is available through the internet. If you have off line jobs, how much time do you set aside your time for browsing the net. Does your work in offices recuire you to use the internet?
Probably many people spend most of their time for internet browsing simply because their job fully recuire them to be online. What's your personal take on this my friends?

When I was still employed in a University. I used 10 minute break time to browse the net. It was like a hobby for me and my friends in the office. Me and my friends would bring our own laptops and would just browse through the net every break time. Sometimes we browse the net to look for work-related topics. When I was promoted though, I was provided with my own computer that I was in front of it most of the time.

Why did you stop working there toni? It was a good career, actually. What exactly did you do? Were you a lecturer or administrative staff member?

I think so. Back to the internet discussion, are you a member of some writing sites, or just browsing for fun?

I was overqualified and yet underpaid. I was the head instructor and was responsible for making the curriculum. My services were abused. Besides it wasn't a loss for me but i'm pretty sure i was a great loss for them.

I work at a job where we don't use the internet, but I spend a lot of time on it at home. I put about 2 hours aside each day for homework which can require a lot of browsing, and then I spend the rest of the time doing odd sites to earn money like this one. Usually I am cleaning or something and just check my computer every few minutes to see what is going on here or on one of the other sites I am on.

To be completely honest I am probably on the Internet most of my waking hours. I am an Executive Recruiter, so I spend all day working via the Net. When I'm not looking for candidates/clients I am surfing the Net for my own personal enjoyment. I am awake probably 16 hours per day and maybe 2 hours per day is spent with TV, 10 hours is spent doing my "work" and the balance, about 4 hours is spent just "surfing" the net.

My daily working hours are mostly spent on the field investigation. I go to farmers' land to check how many subsidies they get from the goverment. I have similar assignment weekly. So, in a month I have 4 different jobs. I clock out at 5 pm. I don't go home straight after 5, I spend some time in the office doing my personal browsing. Thank cattibre and goldtc for your time to respond to this discussion.

See I do not work offline but I do take write ups on the internet and do other things as well (on internet only) and pursuing management with H.R (my major) and Finance (minor). I do browsing whenever I gets enough time. On an average I am online for 6 hours at least. Many people or professions that need browsing are Internet related professions such like Search engine optimization, web designing, internet marketing, link building, etc. And others professions not concerned with computers that need browsing in working hours like marketing jobs, purchasing jobs, survey related jobs, real estate and forex jobs.

I am interested in link building. Is it possible to link my website to another better website in the hope of getting more traffics? I still do not know how to. Thank for sharing.

Are there any writing sites you also join in addition to doing mylot? It'd be nice if you could share. Thank a lot.

Yanza, when i was still working before, my job needs me to online the whole day. But, it is only used mainly to communicate with my other branches which situated in other region and states. We are never allowed to use the internet for socializing or visit money making sites. Only when i am at home, then i would visit my favorite sites including Mylot. Nowadays, although i am at home but my time to online is still limited. Because i have lots of offline matters which i need to settle daily.

That's right. It's impossible to be online most of the time. I also have offline matters to deal with. Well, it is about money of course. Putting all my eggs on one basket is very risky nowaday.

I work an 8 hours job and the only way i can use the internet is when I'm home. Probably it will take about 1 to 2 hours a day, depending on my mood. Like here in myLot, I do spend more than an hour if my mind is up to it. But mostly, the main purpose is to check my internet paying sites and how much income do I made in a day.

a pleasant day yanzalong,
before when i was not engaged in doing online work, i used to stay around 4 hours doing the browsing. but now, since i was a full time internet marketer, i used to be in-front of my machine for almost all day. around 10 to 12 hours everyday.

So, we are indulged with the comfort of browsing, right. I remember spending all my time browsing the net when I first knew what internet was all about. Now, I have to divide my time. How much time for internet browsing is not really fixed. It all depends on the volume of my offline work.

My work doesn't require me to me online all the time, although there are instances that we need to use internet because of some reports that needs to be submitted immediately. Since I have my own laptop, I could go online anytime and whenever I am at home, I would usually go online from 5 o'clock in the morning up to 9am.

It's great that you have plenty of time browsing the net. I also do things like you. I email my report to the central office and visit the office website to see if there is a new announcement regarding new regulation that we have to abide by.

To be honest with you, about 35% of my work requires me to go online. Completed work should be submitted to the central office via email. And when there are some new instructions, I have to download them as well.

I am online 6-8 hours everyday. Sometimes I get bored but because of my online job, I need to compensate myself. A social networking site is also one of the factors that require us to spend more time surfing the internet. Reading different thoughts of people, creating friends and reading blogs.

Time spent online depends on various factors. In the first case, making great money online dictates one to spend a lot of time online. It is worth knowing some many jobs today are done online for example web designing, writing jobs, e-commerce and many others. These people will be forced to stay online. Another factor is one's interest. People find more interest staying online on social sites. They hold discussions, jokes, chats and they share latest news available. They call it a modern way of communicating. Education is another pillar of staying online. People do research online and gain more knowledge.

On the average, I think, people spend about 2 to 3 hours daily browsing or joining social networking like facebook or twitter. In my office we have 10 hour internet conncetion for free. All employees' laptops are already wirelessly connected to the office hotspot. While working they steal about 2 or 3 minutes to browse the net and come back to their work again to continue.
