in my opinion begging is not to be approved of but it doesn't mean that one should be hostile toward it. it's really very saddenning to think that how someone becomes compelled to beg. i m against banning it instead government must bring some ways to provide beggers such jobs which will provide enough for them to feed themseleves and their families.

I really don't but I accept it as a way for someone to earn some money to eat. If the governements really knew how to solve the problem and helped all those poor people out in the streets, then begging would have been only a dream fro another era.

I'm strongly against begging. It has to be totally banned by the government. By entertaining begging, we are indirectly allowing them to be lazy. I heard somewhere that they even kidnap kids and make them beggars. By helping these people, we are encouraging crime.

in the uk begging is illegal but no one seems to do anything about,in this country there is no excuse for smelly tramps asking for money and hanging around cash points, there are charities set up to deal with this problem and i dont mind giving to them but i hate to be made to feel bad if i dont hand over what little money i have.they usually ask for spare change, have you ever had any spare money what i have i need.

Nobody approves begging. But inevitability makes the person to go for begging. Filling belly is a must. If a person does not get any job anywhere and feels hungry, he has to either steal or beg. The route he chooses, becomes his job from then on. Hence job is a must for everybody, if begging has to be disapproved.

I am totally against Begging. Begging is the worst crime in this world and I really feel sick when I see a normal man begging. If a person is physically or mentally challenged, then they can beg coz they have no other go. But I see many women in the roads carrying a child and begging. Actually, they use to rent babies and then come for begging. This is totally bad and unacceptable.

What you say is correct. I have redin the news that theGovt of Tamil Nadu in India has drafteda new schemeto eradicate begging, by taking a list ogf beggers in one selected city and arranging for their rehabilation. The police is screening each begger in Madurai!

Well I do think a person really has to be at rock bottom to go out begging. Not sure what the rules are in your country but it is illegal in most towns in the UK and if the police see them then they move them on. There is an initiative here called the 'Big Issue' where the homeless sell these magazines on the streets to earn a bit of money for themselves, which is a good idea.

Begging is a an important issue of any country. Begging will continue till we have poverty in the country.
People dotn go for this occupation coz they want to do this. Many of the people are forced to do this.
When we try to help these people, we dont know that we are helping the one in need or the one who is just pretending to be.
I dont approve begging, but I want to help the beggars, not with money, instead with food, clothes, work etc., so that they can have a life of their own. If you offer work to a beggar, and he accepts to do that, it means that he is in real need and we should help that person.
Isnt it.....what do you think?
