Have you ever think of impersonating somebody?

First and foremost, this is only my personal points of view. It's been months that last season of American idol had ended. Most of you have their own favorites in the singing competition. We can admit, we are really a music lover, following the scheduled time for voting or take time to watch the TV program. One of my favorite is Jessica Sanchez, a very young talented singer. Catching the dreams made in her position right now. On the other hand, publicity, criticisms or even scrutinized her. It is visible and circulated in different forms of media. Perhaps, they can even say how she impersonate other popular icons in the music industry. To name a few, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Jennifer Holiday, Michael Jackson, etc. In my personal insights about this, she had proved herself that singing is her passion. She sang popular songs, not to copy the artists. The popular songs were shared for the people, so there's no way it has been copied. She had showcase her talents and sang songs with her own rendition. At her age, this young girl was so down to earth, she accepted every praises or criticisms that came along in her journey with humility.

I actually think Jessica Sanchez has her unique style when she sang at the AI. Some contestants would copy the original singers to the hilt, from pitch to style to body movements.
If I were to impersonate someone, I think it would be Madonna. Maybe not as raunchy, though. Lol.

I think people are just annoyed because of what the Filipinos did, one of the reasons is that she got the support of the Fil-AM and Mexican American community. but saddest issue there is the Philippine VOTE that wasn't supposed to happen because Americans were the only one allowed to vote. even though the vote from the Philippines doesn't count it was used against Jessica Sanchez and her fans as a reason to severe her away from her fans. that didn't work and now she's even more popular in the Philippines.

Well, I really enjoy singing karaoke, so to a certain extent I am impersonating someone every time that I get on the stage to sing. This isn't because I want to cause any kind of harm to the original artist of the song, it is simply because of the fact that I really admire that person's work.
With that said, I think that everyone in the world is guilty of impersonating another person to a certain extent because there is really no one in this world that is completely unique.

She's really good. At a young age, I must say, she really is doing a great job as a singer. She may still be processing and knowing what kind of artist she wants to be known, and that's okay. She has a lot more time on her hands to improve and have her own style, without being compared to others. It's but natural that she might sound like somebody else we've heard, but we must remember, those somebody, like Beyonce and such, had probably been on that stage in their lives, at times impersonating some of the artists they look up to, and eventually creating a style that sets them apart.
