At present, there are set of rules against smoking in public places: hospital, school, park, street and like areas. Strictly, No Smoking posted on their walls. How about in public or private toilets? Have you seen some people, who can not sustain their lives without puffing a cigarette in a day? There is an incident happen, when I went to a business establishment for a meeting. Prior to the agenda, I have this habit to pee in the toilet. Since we can never know how long will it take for any meeting? As I get into the men's room, I've noticed that some of the employees were smoking. I feel awkward, but I continue to unleash the call of nature. In my personal opinion, why do they need to smoke inside the toilet? Definitely, it is not a smoking area. Most of the public or even private toilets don’t have the signage of NO SMOKING. Do they really need to see a No Smoking signage, before they decided not to smoke a cigar. What do you think?

hi,
a good ordinance that community should follow because when they are not following it they will pay for there damages or clean the streets,so it is usually nationwide, and you cant also use the public toilet because there are some watcher or having a person to supervise that place too.

I think polluting the public restroom with one's smoke could be considered rather rude, after all isn't second hand smoke the reason for limiting perople's smoking in public places? I don't think they should need a sign in the restroom for this.. now perhaps places of employment and buildings should make a smoking area which is close to or at the side of the rest room.

Hi Shavkat: That's really insane. Of course not. I found depressing to know how some people can't control their instincts and act this way. Smoking restrictions coul be good to inspire people to eliminate this bad habit that is not good for their own health and also public health.

umh, your topic makes me remember my time when i was in korea. in school building, of course students should not smoke because there is the signage of NO SMOKING but toilets have no that signage, that's why many times i almost "die" because of smoking when i get in toilets. I hate it.

Today more and more places are not allowed smoking. If the smokers have to smoke, I think it is OK to smoke outdoor. As to smoking in the toilet, I don't think it is a good idea. As you know it is usually a small place and the smoking will be around inside and it is suffering for the people who don't smoke.

Even if the public toilet has no "NO SMOKING" signage a smoker can't still use that for smoking unless it has an exhaust fan. If it does not have an exhaust fan in it, a smoker violates No Smoking in Public rule then. A public toilet is an enclosed place so if anyone smokes there the smoke will just linger and anyone who enters in next will surely inhale the second hand smoke.

I agree with you that if a place is a no smoking arrea, people should not smoke. Yet I think there should be areas in public places for smokers to smoke. Smokers cannot smoke anywhere now. I think it´s not fair. I have seen that in many places smokers cannot smoke outside a building, yet noone cares about the fumes of the cars.

Yes, in my opinion, it's a good way to smoke in a public toilet if you have eager to smoke but also in the toilets you should also be careful.
Because, nowadays, in some places there are also checking by the officers privately and they will be taken to the police station as well as they will be charged some government charges.

I wish I had the power to persuade people to quit smoking, because I witnessed a dozen of lung cancer patient, who were in their last stage and their agony made me guilty of not utilizing my chances to tell whoever I met to refrain from smoking.I think public places should show the gruesome sufferings that the lung cancer patients undergo in their various stages. Then the smokers will stop being a nuisance in public toilet and spaces.I hope I have at least made some people aware of the problem they will face and the nuisance they will cause for others by their smoking.
