As a college student I'm dreaming to be in DL Dean's list . But I should not have lower grades than 2.5 depending on laude grades required. In my midterm I'm very happy because my lowest grade is 2.25 for on my major subjects that is quite hard for me. Hehe But this midterm I got a grade of 2.75 in my minor subject that cause of my disappointment I thought my grades will be okay there so I really focuses on my major subjects which I got the highest score that made me happy. I'm really disappointed in this day and sad. I'm not really a smart guy but I'm doing my best to have high grades, but I fail :( Disappointment, regret came to me. :( Do you had any disappointment in life? How do you face it? Can you give some knowlege to this discussion? (sorry for my english)

I have so many disappointments in life. If I start mentioning them, it would never end. But, I try to leave them in the past and deal with what's here now and what will come, so that I won't risk getting disappointments again. As to your grade, you can strive harder and harder still. It's not the end of the school year yet, so there's still next semester. I laud you for wanting to be in the Dean's list. And, don't think that you're not a smart guy. Each has his own gift and talent, and maybe you see that there are really smart guys there who top exams (even with minimal effort), but, see you can also be in the DL, so that's something! Don't worry about your English, we're not allowed to be correcting each others' grammar here anyway. I notice that you put your apology in all your posts. Considering that English is our second language, you're making a good effort at it. And, you know, there's always room for improvement. That's one thing that I learned from being here.

Good day RSantos026, Honestly, I am not also good in handling disappointments. But one thing I only know, I always pray whenever depression started to get on my nerves. As I am just lifting up everything to God since I don't have the power to solve it anymore.

Its always good to aim high and have good grades and be successfull outside of school as well. If you did the very best that you can do, be proud of yourself on that victory. I always tell my kids that tomorrow is another day and the semesters will come and go. Just doyour best.

disappointments happen to anyone, and we can not be without them everywhere we go... in school, at home in our careers and jobs. i think when you know you have a lot of things to do, to set, and you have to met a certain requirements we have just got to push ourselves more...

The good news here is that you can improve your grades by asking for help from your instructors, your fellow students, and by working with a tutor. You should never say you are not smart. There are many different ways in which people express their intelligence and you may just have to find out what you are good at. This disappointment is something you can get over just by changing your approach to your studies.

oh don't get disappointed, you can study harder for the finals, dont loose hope. keep smiling. i had so many disappointments in life and what i do is go to the church and pray, cause i feel safe in that place, i feel that all my worries was taken away as soon as i step in the church door, and instead of regretting what happened to me, ill make another goal to how will i achieve my dream. my dear, the world doesn't stop in just a problem, just face it, accept and move on. You still have lots of chance to improve. hope i help you, Good Luck on your finals, you can do it, just trust yourself :)

One of the most difficult things to learn in life is not to take yourself to seriously. High goals are good to work towards, but don't let yourself be overpowered by them. The ones you set in school have real value for a very short time when you are just starting out in life. So if you don't make that goal, step back, take a look at the value of the goal and try again if it's worth the energy. If not consider it a lesson learned and go on. Blessings

Oh i am sorry for that my friend. Just make it up next time. Sometimes, we are so assuming of some expectations. However, if our expectations are not that high, maybe we will not be disappointed in the process. At any rate, study harder my friend, so you will be able to reach your expectation.

I was a mother of 2 going to college, running my home, and working, but still able to get on the Dean's list. If I had not all of the above I probably would have been on the Presidents list. I wish you all of the luck. I have had many disappointments in my lifetime, the sad thing is is mostly from family and friends. How do I deal? I deal by going through the emotions and then finally trusting that God wants it this way.

Yes,we all get disappointments sometimes. It's very common we get disappointment when we can't achieve our goal, make our lover angry, or just lost something. I think disappointment happens to everyone and it will accompany us along our life. So instead of staying in the bad mood, it's better to think about yourself. Try to go through your life in this period. I think you could learn somethings from this failure. Cheer up. There is still chance to get what you want as long as you keep trying. Don't get up so easily..

I commend you for working hard to make it good in your studies. I am sure your parents are so proud of you. I just hope that other young people like you will do the same.Disappointments in life is never inevitable. You are still young and there will be more disappointments to come. Take is as a challenge, don't give up and always lift it up to God. Disappointments will hone our individuality. Like me, I took the board exam 7 times, that is why I call myself lucky 7 and it is my favorite number. Of course, I was at the verge of giving up(who wouldn't be?). You have studied very well, yet all of your efforts will be futile? But when I heard the lines from a station ID of DWRR Manila that goes: God knows what's best for us, so do not complain, for the pain of today, will the gain of tomorrow." I am not that successful in life (yet) but I know God has good plans for me and for all of us. God bless you.

Failure, disappointment, this is a vital test that build who you are. Lessons learn from them will make or break you. Every man has it's own disappointment in life, and how you deal with them will separate you from failure to success.

Oh,you didn't study well because your thought minor subjects are easier than our major subjects.I guess they are just the same. So, next time you have to study everything very well. Not only your major but also your minors subjects.Disappointments are unavoidable especially when we expect too much.Sometimes, things go beyond our control. Therefore, you have to expect the unexpected.Prepare very well. You have to study your lessons everyday so that during exams,it will be easier for u to retrieve important info.

Failure. That's part of your college life. It's not always win-win for life, there's also lose-lose part. It is always how you deal with it and how you perceive them. The solution? Well, I have two: Prayer and Optimism. First, Prayer is always the first. God knows you are trying hard for those grades, and maybe He has a better plan for you. Second, always be positive in whatever things may happen. There's nothing wrong with perceiving good in these instead of blaming or asking yourself why constantly. It will only murder your head with thinking. Just make that failure your motivation to strive harder the next time. I have been various disappointments too in the my college life, even after it when I took the board exams. But I accepted them and moved on to the next chapter smiling. It may disappoint now, but what the hell, it's life. Learn to enjoy them! :) Aja with your grades :)

During my school days, I am expecting the worst. I also experienced disappointments but it didn't last too long as I was anticipating it before. I was thinking on how to recover the disappointment I received....
