rubbish thrown from cars

It is nearing the end of the holiday season and the main road down to the sea is filled with plastic bottles, cans and other rubbish. It has all been thrown out of cars or coaches heading down to the beach. This happens every year and in a few weeks the council will be sending out men to clean the end of season rubbish up. I dare not mention the beaches where bins have been provided, get full or get ignored. Either way it is like an invasion of aliens every summer who do not care about the environment they are enjoying.

Unfortunately it's the same everywhere nowadays. No one has any respect for the planet that they live on. I see the earth as our home & as a gift given to us by God so I try to treat it as such. In my opinion it shows a lack of respect & a lack of appreciation for God's gift, our planet/our home. What is so hard about throwing out your garbage into an actual garbage can? Or if there is none around then hold on to it until you get home & throw out your garbage then. That's what I do & I believe that's what everyone should do.

Whenb we g for a drive, there is usaulluy garbage bags at the edge of gthe highway and what is wrong with kepeing a bag in tghe car? It is not about respecting the planet, because the plasnet is notg a living thing, it is abourt respecting yourself and letting people know that you are not a slob. ASnd we were put here on Earth tgo be stgewards not to be throw arounds.

the same here but really if the bins are full the fault lies with municipality who are not coming around to clean up the mess before it gets out of hand.

And I thought that only happens in our country, there are a lot of irresponsible people here who not only throw rubbish from their cars but actually even settle near bodies of waters and become informal settlers, I think they would be passing a law now for stricter penalties (after the floods) for people who do this and start cleaning bodies of water of informal settlers and prevent anymore from doing so. No amount of cleaning would be effective if people are undisciplined, it just becomes a vicious cycle of "clean and litter"

Oh yes, the beauty of Greece. It is sad, I always think that as years go by we (should) get better. People prove me wrong every day.
I remember my parents taking garbage from the beach and carrying them for 30 kilometres until they found a trash can. Not many around in the 80's in Greece. That's what they taught me.
Now we have more, in fact everywhere, but people seem to ignore them.

tsk. tsk. tsk --- bad, that was too bad.
why cannot they make another way how to lessen their garbage by recycling them or yet, group them and sell them in the scrap buyers. is the council could not make a resolution of proper waste disposal or collecting it as they assigned days of garbage collection all over the places? in the city where i belong, they set days where to collect the garbage and what kind of garbage would they gonna collect during that day. so in our house, we used to bury biodegradable garbage and put cans, plastic bottles, in a cellophane then when scrap buyers would visit us to buy all of it. so this would at least a helpful ways to minimize the garbage and not just threw it anywhere. that would be a rubbish thing to do.

Same here in our city. Every summer a lot of people are coming to visit and after they're all gone, it's like there was a war on the streets. A lot of trash here there and everywhere! And it's so annoying because people who live in the city make sure we keep our surroundings clean then here comes those who don't care. I wonder how their own cities looks like.
People just needs to be more disciplined and considerate to others.
