I love the beginning of the fall season because I like feeling the briskness in the air, I like the apple festivals and the pumpkin patch and everything else like that. I really think that fall is one of my favorite times of the year.
This really got me to wondering, does anyone here have any special plans of something that they are going to be doing over the next several months?
For us, we will be making our annual family trip to one of the local pumpkin patches to pick our our pumpkins and I hope that we will also be able to take a hike at the local nature preserve or at Natural Bridge at some point in the next several weeks as the leaves are starting to change colors.

Well we are moving mid October to be closer to family. So I think we are going to take our oldest to the punkin patch up there and do the hay sliding and pumpkin painting. Not sure what we are going to do with Christmas for her yet. Maybe take her around the nearest housing area some people for Halloween and stuff deck out there house in some really cool decorations and colors.
I might have my mom teach me how to do jello spiders with my daughter because I think she'll get a kick out of that.

That jello spider thing sounds really interesting. If you learn how to do it, you are definitely going to have to share with us how it is done because I think my kids would enjoy something like that as well.

All you need to do is get spider moldings and like grape or blueberry or what ever color jello you want to use and make the spiders body with that. Then get black licorition to make the legs of the spider. I like the lollie pop ghost can you that easy to make.

I do really like the lolly pop ghosts as well. I always remember feeling so special when I was growing up and I would find one of those in my Halloween treat bag.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. So much change and color. And my kids love Halloween. My daughter will probably carve several pumpkins. The seeds will be baked and we will munch on them. Yum! Picking out my grandson's costume for Halloween is fun too and he will wear it around the house for several days. And then there is Thanksgiving coming up too. Happy Fall to you!

I was the same way because my grandmother's house was always where we went for the holidays but I finally decided I had to move on and make new memories for my grand kids. I only have three people left in my family so isn't much of a holiday really anymore. But I do try to make something out of it for my grandson.

It really is important to do it for your grandson because of the fact that I personally have always thought about the holidays as being something that really is all about the children and not the adults.

I go visit my friend in Wisconsin to see the changing of the leaves....I have gotten some of the most wonderful photos of the colors! Also on my way every year there is a farmer who still farms with horses....I pull over and watch for a while. It is so interesting!

Oh wow, I would love to see the farmer working with his horses.
I've not been so lucky on getting wonderful pictures of the fall colors but that is something that I certainly am going to try to do again this year.

Sounds like you really gonna enjoy fall, here in Vegas it's not at all that pretty.
You really don't have the 4 seasons so Fall is just another time of year except it's getting closer to winter, I don't like the cold so I'm not ready for it.
As for plans right now my mom is here from Germany visiting for 2 weeks and that's the best thing ever.
I don't have any other time of planned so it will be nothing exiting for the fall season

Like mother, like daughter?
My mother and I have always been able to get along with each other very well. However, I will admit that there are times that we start to get on each other's nerves.

Having your mother there to visit with you for two months is something that is very special for you. That sounds like it is the highlight of the fall for you. Enjoy the special time that you have with her.

Yes, the fall season is here. Yet, I wouldn't notice it if I just looked around outside. It still hot here, and the forecast the rest of the week is still sunny.
Anyway, I like the fall. I like that it isn't too warm, and not too cold. I'm trying to arrange a trip to an indoor waterpark for the kids sometime next month or early November. But I'm still waiting for my schedule and finances to line up.

It seems like there are a lot of people that are trying to arrange a trip to an indoor water park at some point in the near future. You see, that is something that we are definitely going to be doing with our children within the next few months. I just have to wait for my back to get better and to get a settlement for it to happen for us.

That is one of the things that I don't like about the fall and winter is that it really gives my sinuses a lot of problems. However, there are so many other things about this season that I really enjoy.

well, our oldest daughter is off to school, today and tomorrow we will be celebrating my birthday, Canadian Thanksgiving is in October so she will be home for that as well as for a reading week. We are looking forward to traveling around our area as the leaves turn color and of course, there are always fall fairs to attend.

I had actually completely forgotten about the fall festivals at so many of the Churches around here, but that is something else that I am going to have to add to my to-do list.

I will be leaving for home at the end of this month after being in the U.K. for over six months. I thought that I was coming for six weeks but then everything went crazy.
I visited Boston several times in the US during tha fall and t was so beautiful. England is also beautiful at this time but to be honest I can no longer stand the cold weather and prefer the warmth.
I hope that you all enjoy the fall though

I've never had the opportunity to visit New England at all, let alone during the fall, but that is one of the things that I definitely want to have the opportunity to do at some point during my life.

I love the fall season (well, weather wise it might be warmish still, that's just the way it is here - but maybe it'll be different this year as you know it's been crazy weather world 'round). October we will be nuts about Halloween. I'm sure we'll be hitting up a lot of Halloween events, as well as all the Halloween shops and pumpkin festivals (love that!!) - knowing us it will be a packed month of Halloween activities period. Wish we had apple festivals out here - I can't think of any. November will be my son's 3rd birthday, so not sure what we will do yet, but at least we will do a family get together which should be extra exciting for him because he totally "gets" birthdays now.

I'm really looking forward to Paul's birthday in October. We are hoping to be able to have a Chuck E Cheese birthday party for him, but if that is not possible, we will still think of something really special to do for him and for his friends.

You know, our annual family trip is something that is really simple, but it is something that we are all able to do together and I think it is the fact that we are all together that makes it so very special for us.

I was thinking of moving to France and watch those beauties walk the ramp in those fall winter collections and have some of them in my room for my daily night workout.

I´m going on a weeks vacation 3 weeks from to place in germany called wiessenhauser strand where there are a big indoor waterpark. I´m going with my 2 children on 4 and 7 years and my girlfriend and it is going to be great because it doesn´t matter wether it rains or the sun is shinning. I like that.

That sounds like a lot of fun. We would love to be able to take our children to one of the indoor waterparks soon. However, I'm going to have to wait a little bit longer to be able to do that because it is something that is fairly expensive.
