Hi Tony! No, this phrase will never become obsolete or old-fashioned. What are we without love and what are without expressing it? The world needs more love, not less. families need to love one another and show proper affection.
I like this Bible verse:
Colossians 3:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (The KJV uses a poor choice of word to translate the Greek word "agapen."
Colossians 3:14 American Standard Version (ASV) 14 and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:14 Good News Translation (GNT) 14 And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity.

Dear 1hopefulman, greetings. I most certainly agree. As the message of a song, "what the world needs now is LOVE". And If I may add something inspiring as yours, allow me to invite all serious Bible student to read/meditate the whole chapter of I Cor.13. On this one I wish to quote, "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome" NKJV. I love you my friend, may the good Lord bless and always keep us.

Hi Tony, please be assured of my Christian love! Yes, 1 Cor. 13 is a beautiful explanation of what Christan "agape" love is all about. To make things clear, it describes what love is and does and what it is not and does not do. I would say that without love there is no life. It is no wonder that "God is love" and not God has love. I think humanity is still in kindergarten when it comes to understanding love.

You are right.Saying 'I love you' has become a cliche. It does not seem to trigger any feeling in the heart of the person to whom it is said.No happiness,no sensation, nothing else.Just an oft repeated sentence spoken once again.I love my parents,my sisters and my wife and children, but my love is automatically demonstrated in my actions and gestures. They feel it.They all know I love them.

Hello else, greetings. As the saying goes, "Actions speaks louder than words" to these I also agree. Some like it words, some like it actions, some like it words plus actions. Which of the three will make a big difference?

Oh I say I love you lot of times to those whom I really mean it. I think the actions should be more than saying because many people have started to use i love you in vain. Many people say it but don't mean it in today's world and the actions are such that it does not show any love which they claim with words. It is better not to speak but do for those whom you love. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hello riyauro, greetings. I agree with you. There are people who uttered those three little words " I love you" in pretense and worst to deceived. That's is why it is inherent in those who value its importance to FULFILL the ACTIONS so required.

Hello chiyosan, greetings. I could understand that some people who are not exposed or get used to saying something are getting difficulty to adjust. This is very true to every situation. What is happening to you has happened to me. I only changed my attitude when I first met my wife.

I think you have to say it whenever you can to people you care about. I'm not an expressive person I don't usually say it but I express it through my actions. I also appreciate it when somebody says "I love you" to me. It's really different if it's expressed in words.

Hello pink-passion, greetings. At least you say it once in a while. But look when your loved ones says "I love you" to you, you appreciate it because somehow someway it gives you a different feelings. Don't you want to give the same different feelings to them in return?

Dear silverfox, greetings. You are absolutely right. Those three little words are not without meaning. Not old fashioned not obsolete, they are beautiful as ever.

I say i love you to my husband everyday, and also to my son and to my dad. We should always tell them we love them because life is uncertain and we'll never know if we'd still be with them tomorrow or in the days to come. As the saying goes, "seize the day".

Hello watchmacallitz, greeting. I most certainly agree with you. My wife use to say those three little but "magical" words to me before we sleep. And we are now on our 33 years of happy marriage.

Hello Shavkat, greetings. Your action is just beautifully excellent my friend. I am sure the effect of saying "I love you" as often as possible plus of course the actions attached to it, makes a big difference in your family (and to every family for that matter).

Hi Mangtony!
I always say I Love You to my kids and their dad. However, I can't remember the last time I say I love you to my mom and brother. We're really not used of saying I Love You to each other. That's why I like my children to be comfortable of saying it.

Hello kris3rdE, greetings. You have done a very beautiful thing with your family but don't you think your mom and brother deserves it too. If you start saying "i love you" to your mom and brother, they might as well be "get infected". Cheers.
