It is a common scene, to see a fortune teller possessing a crystal ball on top of a table. "Have you tried to have a session with them?" Is it convincing to say, "I can see your future". The manner of staring at the crystal ball, randomly looking at you. A sudden strike of coincidence statements will be correlated to your life. Either you believe it or not. I just thought of something, "Can they give the winning numbers for a lottery ticket?" I am not being silly, that's a reality. I seek advice for my future, then give me the reason to believe on something. Be a lucky winner having buckets of money. Wait! I need to get back to earth, I was having a day dream again.lol. Allow me to throw this question, "Do you believe in fortune tellers?"

I do not know about them but there are some people who are clairvoyant and they do not even need crystal balls to really predict things. There are many who uses to props to make themselves convincing but I believe for the true clairvoyants they do not need this things.
As for the winning numbers I am just not sure if that can be predicted at all. Because if they can then they themselves can buy the winning numbers and hit big for this one.

No, I don't. They are merely guessing my future and I believe that I am born to succeed. They are using their so called " ability to see the future " to earn money of course. and hey! that's my opinion there hehehe!.. I respect those people who believe in them also, particularly if they can motivate and set their minds in achieving their dreams and improving once life.
Have a nice day!!

I am not sure if I believe in them or not. I have never visited one of them so I haven't had the chance to compare the things that they said with the things that actually happened in my life. My friend believes in fortune telling and she has visited several fortune tellers. She says that some of the things that she was told weren't true at all, but other things were very accurate. I wonder if I would experience the same thing if I visit a fortune teller. I would be interested in trying it once in order to satisfy my curiosity and experience it in person.

I believe that some people do possess a gift. I went to a fortune teller with some school friends at the young age of fourteen. We went in pairs so one person could write down what the lady was saying. You must understand that I was a young protected girl living in England.
What she told me (remember that it was recorded) has come absolutely true not just for me but for the friend who was with me.
When she said that I would live on a small Island in the sun I so wanted to laugh - but I now live in Jamaica
She said that I would have four live children but suffer miscarriages - true
She said that I would have many homes - true
She spoke of many personal things that I have no desire to tell you but they all came true.
She even said that the surname of the person that I woud marry would begin with the letter 'S' - true.
I no longer dismiss thngs in life. They may not know eerything but some people do have a gift. My Irish grnadmother and my mother also 'knew' when bad things happened before being told. My sister has this gift too. Having a gift doesn't mean they can know evr]erything about a person. Sometimes they can only read some people and not others. It is like healers. The gift comes through them from God. They alone do not have any power of healing. Blessings

you know, that was a good strategy to go in pairs and write everything that was said. so after the reading, how did it feel as they started to come true?

I believe many people were given great gifts to use from God, it is just if they decide to use it for good or for bad, which is always the question. As for fortune tellers they can't tell you the lottery winning numbers, the real ones can only tell you if you will have fortune or not. The same with psychics, they can only see what is revealed to them and nothing more.

i like your explanation. it means we still have free will to use that gift or not, and if we use it, to decide if for self-interest or not. i also think the interpretations are subjective.

To answer your last question first, no, I don't believe in fortune tellers. Some people are very talented in making determinations about you by being observant. Then they will make some statement and watch your reaction. Even if you feel you are not reacting there will be some small change that gives you away. After a few minutes of this intense observation they can come to a reasonable assumption about your life and make a prediction that you will believe. Sometimes these predictions come true, but I believe that is so because now you are expecting them so you in affect make it happen.

Honestly I have to admit that I don't believe in fortune tellers. I think that the reason that I don't believe in them is because though there is a gift that a few people have of being able to tell you something that is going to happen in the future, I don't see it as being something that those people do in order to make a living.
I do know some people that can say something that will come true in the future, but those prolific individuals are few and far apart.

No, I do not believe in fortune tellers like those who predict the future for money. Being a Christian, I believe there can be prophets who are actually fortune tellers. They predict for specific reasons, mostly as warnings; and do not do it for money. I do believe there are those who have gifts. They sometimes see things and predict them. But they are humbled by a higher power to keep from being to proud in themselves by their gifts. That's why they are not always correct and why scientists cannot put their gifts under a microscope.

Its nothing wrong if you tey to believe in a fortune teller. Who knows it may be a good thing that i believe on it. If i dont nothing will lose in my side. If i win, i gain. So in my own opinion is believing in fortune teller is a win situation

I never visited fortune teller, I do not want to hear what they have to say about my future that I think is totally unreasonable But if there is a fortune teller who can guess correctly every lottery number, he/she will not be a predict lottere and give the number to someone else. He'll be use his ability to himself

It may sound harsh but I don't totally believe in the fortune teller. They might deceive me for what I've stand, for what I believe. I believe that God has a wonderful plan for me. All I have to do is to live with it and face in the reality, I don't need to do in a magical way all I have to do is to persevere, to be diligent and to be obedient in His words.

I do believe in fortune but do not trust these fortune tellers. However, I must say that I do believe in horoscopes and Indian astrologers.

I don't really believe in this things, because I believe that we have free will, and we choose the paths we want to walk on. But there were times when I had premonitions and they have fulfilled, so maybe there are some things which have to happen, no matter what. But I don't read horoscopes, only from time to time, because I want to see how they make these "predictions", I've never went to a fortune teller, and I will never do so, if my mental health will remain at least at this level. If they can see the future, then why don't they win at betting or lottery and leave us, people without this "ability" to live our lives?

There might be people who can tell the future. However, I would not call them "fortune tellers"; for if you can truly tell the future, how do you know it is a fortune?
Also the true fortune teller might not likely tell you your future for fear that it might cause more harm than good.

No I do not believe in fortune tellers. They are all scammers. They play off of our expressions. There is nothing real about them. Also I do not believe in psychics. I also think they play off your emotions and expressions. If that were all areal, many people would have the winning lottery numbers, they would know what is going to happen. And many people knowing information like that would cash in on it. So it is all fake.

Well, I want to be just coincided, then your question: Do you believe in fortune tellers? My answer is a resounding NO!
I am religious, I believe in faith, miracles and also and in science and technology.
But I have always pointed out the fake magicians who claim to be able to predict your future, as charlatans and eats money to the poor people who rely on them!
This is more it makes me very angry, they believe that people cheat is a profession!
However, I think I understood from your question that you're a person inherently skeptical to these people. I understand you correctly?
