Do You Really Join A Program ONLY When It's POPULAR and SUCCESFUL?

Hiya myLotters and friends!
Personally, I find it difficult to convince people to join a referral/affiliate program, even when the initial investment or the registration fee is very cheap. Or maybe, it's because of the reputation of site/program/system that is not yet stablished because of its age. I just wonder why some people still hesitates to join, even when they already have learned you already succeed in the program. Or even when they know about the success or popularity of the system.
Do you really join a program or system that is already popular and successful? Will you not invest a little of your time and small amount of earnings for a brand new program and business opportunity?

hello neildc, what is the site all about then?
i know it's really hard to convince people specially to something they don't really like to join... first of all, there are companies or sites which has this affiliate marketing but then, not all members are earning from it.
sometimes, people have to be convinced totally which will make their minds with you.
convincing is really hard to do. specially in business opportunities.

I tend to join any site that is popular and successful. However, I usually do a little bit of research before I join. I also join less-known site if I find the site legitimate and promising.

sometimes, people are convinced to join even when it's not popular enough, when the referrer is a friend. just like how i came to join mylot. mylot is not that popular even until today and what more 5 years ago. it was a dear friend that referred me here. i joined without research or something. but i guess, even when she already left me, i believe i succeed.

"difficult to convince people"
This is because people don't have the patience to read and understand. That's why I use splash pages with just hints. If people catch the hint, they start asking further question. Convincing would be easy then.
Regarding joining any program, I believe that there needs to be some wait period. After adequate wait, at one point we should decide. We shouldn't wait too long and we shouldn't rush too early.
And I give due consideration if anyone that I know is a veteran, and I don't wait too much after their recommendations. (Somewhere I read "MLM is not about the company, but it's about you." How true!!)
I visited your profile and couldn't find anything. What's the program you're talking about? Just curious.

Those that are new are at risk of being dissolved easily than those that have been established over a period of time. The length of existence actually is the perfect proof of one's stability. And most people are searching for stability and not just a one time investment with greater risk.

I said yes, and one of strong reason is that I'm afraid of the program turn into SCAM. there are many proof that many new site could not establish very well in a long run and most of them turn into scam. the possiblity to get scam is now getting bigger and bigger. the popularity and success of the program is very important. I usually like to know and looking for the review of the website before join, so if there is only few people join it and it's look doubtful, I don't want to waste my time and money

Not all the time. It depends also the concept of the program. But binary network marketing is not good. Good only for the few who are at the upper level but when you say multi level marketing, not the matter if she/he joined first than you. The most important is hardwork.

ni neildc I think its because a lot of places like theUW and even my state unemployment is rampant and money is scarce so we do not like to take chances on any program until its proven okay.we all are hanging tight on our money and those with jobs no matter if they are not really happy in them are notw going to quit as they might
be out of work for ages.I ca't invest even a little my self as most all m y social Security and SSI checks go to monthly rent and board and am left with little free funds.

Me and hubby joined a networking business last year, it was actually him who initiated it as friends joined and he got curious with it. It was a big investment actually on our part and the start went pretty well and ROI was immediate. But i found it hard on my part because it is hard to talk to people and convince them about it because it was expensive to join even if the return is big..so eventually we lie low and are just users of the product for now. We actually joined it because friends got us curious and yes it was popular too and the income is that big if you really will give your time but later on i still find myself not being able to give that much time in it.

i have drawbacks with expensive business though products are necessities. i just learned this one that is very cheap and possible earnings is big. ROI is also very fast. i see people posting proofs, they earn even within just a week or two. and continue receiving payment weekly.

hey neildc,
Truly speaking everybody would go for something that is reliable and old is gold, it is really hard to trust new sites or programm when its new, even I am facing the same problem with referrals but I believe in taking chances and that is why I am giving time to mylot, everything needs time to build trust, once you will start earning well your friends will automaically ask you then you don't have to convice them too much.Have patince buddy we are standing at the same side:D

is that what you call, "wait and see"
and when they get successful, you will have to say, "i'll try"
and now everybody succeeds, you will say, "only those in the upper levels succeeds"

less risk, yes. but when one program succeeds and you join only when a lot of people are already there, you think you won't be saying, oh, only those who joined early and in the upper level succeeds.

I will personally never signup to a site that asks for payment/bank account info and these are usually a scam. I will only join a site once I've read reviews and weighed them up.

actually, it's also a marketing program for lots of online products like eBooks. so even when you spend a little of your time and money, you'll still be earning.

Well, it depends on the person saying this good things about a certain progrram, neildc.
If it comes from a person whom you know so much and have proven to you by means of showing how successful he is already in his life because of the program, then why not.
Nowadays, amidst all the scams that others have experienced as well as aired in the news , people are already apprehensive of investing to such types of programs.

Hi friend, as you mentioned it is really hard to get referrals even for a free program, we must work hard for it. some persons are not interested in online investment, since lot of scams are available here. We must give our uttermost to gain an active referral to an investment program
